Can you use the DDP for a GAG?

We'll be there April 29th through May 12th, 2012.

We stay at the premiums, because we like the 900 loop. Close to the pool, campground sing-a-long and Meadows.
We're from Iowa. We don't mind walking the 1/4 to 1/2 mile to the marina or the outpost if we miss the bus!

No pictures yet, but it is finished!! I used 8" globes for the ears, because I think the 6" globes look too small. Just my opinion.
One problem I've come across though is that I didn't let the paint on the pole to completely dry, so now I can't get the pole and the connector
apart! The ears are kind of dark though, so I'm working on getting lights into them. Maybe pictures after I get that done.

As Shannta said I wasn't flushed either, but was given points. I heard on the other site that the fiends had another site so I asked someone where everyone went. People had to be creative to get the web address to me, because the evil site blocked the site name when it was sent to me in a private message. I guess over there messages aren't so private. :popo:

I ordered my "mickey" globes two days ago!! Can't wait to start putting it together!

I think the 8" globes would work just fine, provided you have a 4" hole saw to cut appropriate openings in the larger globe to insert them and glue them.
As for the 12" globe, I would not use it, simply because of the neck. Because the neck (or flange) is there you will have to custom make some type of base to hold the light bulb and connect to your post. For about $30.00 you can buy a 12" globe with no flange or neck and the globe fitter which holds the bulb and connects easily to your post. Nothing to customize!
So my answer is, yes the 12" globe would work, but a 12" globe without the neck would be sooooo much easier!

I got all of my supplies from Home Depot. They do not always have the 8" globes in, but ussualy get them regularly. So keep checking.
My first use of multi-quote!! Cool!!
Sorry, it took me so long to reply. I'm a slothfull fiend! Thanks for the help!!
I've got to make time and make one of these before we return to FW.

I got in trouble there a few weeks ago for posting a cryptic message in a private message that told someone where to find us. Apparently, they were an undercover spy. The funny thing is, I lost my private message priveledges, so they can't tell me because I can't received private messages!
Every time I go there these days, my computer takes waaay too long to download the site so i give up. I think God is trying to tell me to just stay where I am. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7ZT5sajkys
Sorry, if that was me who got you into trouble. I'm not really a spy. I was just wondering where everyone went. Again if that was me sorry.

You can see my instructions for a Mickey Lamp here: http://www.carol-anne.ca/Mickey%20Lamp.htm
And my instructions for a Mickey Rope Light are here: http://www.carol-anne.ca/Mickey%20Rope%20Light.htm
Have fun making yours!
Wow, must be a lot of people going there to get a bandwidth limit!

I thoroughly agree with stealing plans to build something, but I would like to make a minor change for everyone. I would suggest using the 8" globes for the ears rather than the 6" globes. The 8" globes produce a more proportionate Mickey head. Its just a suggestion, so do what you want with it.
Where did you get the 8" globes?

<Wow, your first post. Keep going, post, post, post.
BTW, your daughter is exempt. She's not an adult. That's in the rules.>
My first post here. I came from that "other" site. I like to chit-chat!

Oops!! you're right I missed that part. A load off my mind!

I'm glad I know the pool rules. I think I'll keep a close eye on my 14 year old daughter while camping.
She's 5'4", female ( dah!), under 31, I think she's only 110. You might want to put a minimum age to those requirements!
campground near Gulf Coast?
in Camping To and From the Fort
Posted
Hello,
My family is making a trip to the Fort in late April of 2012 and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a campground
near the gulf and 3 to 4 hours from the Fort. We'd be coming down I-75. We'd like to camp and when we get up go to the gulf and swim a little and then pack up and check in at the Fort in the mid-afternoon. Is this possible? Thanks for any help.
