I think it's personal preference. But after saying that, I prefer the 8" globes with the 12" head.
Don't have a picture handy right now, but will try to get one later.

I love history, so a book with the history of the Fort would be great. I would also like to know about current happenings and how the Fort fits into Disney's future plans.
-
Glad you arrived safely.

A book about the Fort would be great!!

We have only been to the Fort twice, but loved it both times. We plan to stay there on future trips. The thing I worry about is if empty spots do start to show up and they don't
reach thier capacity targets the short-sighted cash-now-and-to-hades-about-the-long-term-effect MBAs will say, "See people aren't showing up! We NEED the Fort DVC area!"
Then the Fort will disappear for good. That is my worry.

Love the Big Bang Reference!!!!
If I call the above number will I need an item number or if I describe it will they know what I'm talking about?

Can a person buy Fort Wilderness Merc on a Disney web site anywhere? I'd like to buy one more old new brown T and maybe a new green
and brown T.

You've probably read this before, but we use the Exit Now book (Barnes and Noble $32). We have the 2011 edition and it's still reliable. The facilities for big rigs are printed in red, so as we are going down the road, I look for the exits where we can get in and out easily. It's also lists everything at each exit and indicates which side of the road they are on.
I searched the Apple App store and couldn't find anything.
I have an app called Interstate Exits Guide on my android and it was free. It kind of sounds like the Exit Now book. Only have used it once
so far.

Yes, Vader was a baldy.

You know, I'm amazed that I made it to 50 when I listen to today's news. Don't do this, don't do that. When I was a kid we got dirty. I mean filthy! We
took a bath and were fine.
What is a sexually transmited desease? LIFE!!

Our cart goes over the speed limit at the fort, but we still pull over for buses and faster cars. We're one of the smallest vehicles on the road, so why not play it safe?
Why? For the same reason that bicyclists demand the entire lane here in Iowa. "I have a right to be on the road, so you need to make way for me!"
While they play chicken with a 2 ton truck.

We've stayed at the 900 loop twice and have loved it both times! Near the Meadows, the pool, the outdoor movie and an easy walk to the pier.

Oh, and as horrible as this seems...I don't eat pie.
Proof that aliens (people from outer-space) are among us!

Yes, do not use E-85 in a non flex fuel vehicle.

I was told by a ford tec that any ford more than 10 yrs old the ethanol in the gas is eating the rubber gas lines it's not a matter of if but when it will burn
I've heard this almost all my life. But I've owned 3 or 4 vehicles in my life, so far, and I've always put ethanol in my cars and have never
had a fuel line problem. And I drive my cars until they die. Transmision (230K miles), engine block and death by deer. My current car
is a 2003 Ford Taurus wagon with 258k miles on it and I always use ethanol. Now if you want to talk about the hatch door design I'm there!
That person I'd like to meet in a dark alley and "discuss" it with him!

But you can also do that by buying gift cards in advance. Then you have the freedom to eat how you want and use the leftover $ on the gift
card to buy stuff.
Actually, never thought about that. Hmmmmmmm.

We have used the dining plan the last two trips. I like it for the fact that when we get there I know all of our meals are paid for. I don't have to worry
about the food budget. It takes a load off of my mind.

Forgot to ask how is Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area, Flagler Beach?
-
The last time we were in Ormond Beach we saw the Coral Sands RV part. It was right next to the beach. Has anyone have experience with
this site? Curious for future trips.

I saw some green lights in the trees, didn't even think about it being a projector of some kind. I thought it was an insane amount of effort to get all those lights up there...
I want to get one of the"disco lights" projectors they had at a few sites. Drive some people at the office insane. ..
Just ask the Yeti if you can borrow his disc light! :rofl3:

Fun Fact:: Disney put scots in the sky going over farms looking for trees for the Magic Kingdom and would pay up to $500 for 1 tree
Question: How did they get the Scots in the sky?

<Putting on my conspiracy cap>
If Disney wanted to get rid of the campground they could raise the nightly prices so high that people stop using the
campgrounds. Then they could turn around and claim no one is using the campgrounds to justify replacing it with
more DVCs.

We prefer the 900 loop. Close to Meadows, pool and campfire area. If the bus isn't handy, we don't mind the walk to the dock or the front desk.
