  1. I've never heard of that either.  Personally, as long as he doesn't show signs of irritation or anything, I would just let it go, and it will probably work itself out eventually.  But, if his eye starts getting goopy or watery, or he starts rubbing his face on the carpet, I would bring him in again.

  2. We would be interested in Palo Brunch on the sea day. And if everyone else is interested considering Palo dinner. Not so sure about Remy's. The dinner there is probably an experience, but for $150 not sure if I want to do that. Also Rich is on a salt free, and other restrictive diet, will Palo work with that?

Absolutely!  The chefs are very accomodating and he won't have any problems!

  3. Since NCL is Freestyle Cruising, it's not everyone.  Some people would rather have the set dining times, formal nights, dress codes, eating with the same people and servers every night, etc.

NCL has it's own pros and cons.  We personally have not liked the food as much, as we do on the other lines.  But, that's a matter of taste.  NCL has great burgers, fries, pizza, etc.  But, for more gourmet food, they are not as good.

One thing we really liked on NCL is the sports bar, that offers snacks all day long like chicken wings, fish n chips, etc.  It's a fun relaxing place to hang out for a couple of hours mid-afternoon, when you're done sitting around the pool and it's not dinner time yet.

We've always had good service on NCL.  The rooms are the same as other cruiselines.  Smaller than DCL rooms, but the same as RCCL and Celebrity.

We like the spa on NCL.  One thing we enjoyed was the day pass into the "relaxation area".  You do not need to get a spa treatment.  You can just go in anytime and make use of the adults-only relaxing area, with its jacuzzis, comfy loungers overlooking the fantail of the ship, the t-pool (sorry, can't spell thalasotherapy or whatever, lol), juice bar, robes, and saunas.  We spent a lot of time in here on our last cruise on the NCL Dawn!

  4. Hi everyone!  I'm starting to get our cruise plans together!  :o

How many here would be interested in doing the Palo Brunch on our sea day?  The price is $20 per person, and I can say from personal experience -- it's wonderful!!!

And, would anyone else be interested in doing dinner at Palo one of the other evenings?  Again, the price is $20 per person.

And, is anyone interested in having dinner at Remy's one evening?  The price is $75 per person.  If you have not heard about Remy yet, here's a recent blog from Tracy (here at Travel on a Dream):  http://travelonadream.wordpress.com/2011/01/31/is-remy-worth-it/.  Scott and I are saving our pennies for this one!

Keep in mind that nobody under 18 is allowed in either restaurant, and they are very strict about this.

    Thanks!

  5. We love Cozumel too!  We usually just walk around, and eat and drink our way around the island. LOL

Here's a great guide, with maps:  http://www.cozumelmycozumel.com/index.htm.  They also have a page with local restaurant recommendations.  We love to get off the beaten path, and eat at little local places.  We also find little local stands and bars that serve the best margaritas!  :o

When our son and his wife went recently, they rented a jeep, and drove around the island themselves and had a great time!  You basically just follow one loop around the island -- impossible to get lost.

  6. Costco. Frozen food section. Heat and serve with Soy Sauce, Peanut Sauce, Hoison Sauce, Hot Mustard or Sweet & Sour Sauce.

Yup!!  I just bought some from Costco today!  Actually they're called Spring Rolls - but they're just like egg rolls!

  7. I like going out of the Port of Miami -- lots to look at, on the way out!  You'll drive alongside the highway, and the cars all honk and wave at you!  And, you'll go by Millionaire's Row, with all the big homes!  Then, you'll go by the southern tip of South Beach, where you can see the long line of hotels.

  8. Wow - this will be a trip of a lifetime for her!  She'll always remember it!

I would just be extra diligent about talking to the teachers about it -- how many chaperones, and who are they?  You want an EXACT itinerary--where they will be staying each night, etc.

Could you possibly go with them, as a chaperone?

  9. The weekend ship is the Norwegian Sky.  It sails out of Miami and goes to Nassau and to their private island, Great Stirrup Cay.  I've been on this ship 3 times, so let me know if you have any questions.

If you'd like me to get a quote for you, when the sale starts, please email me at [email protected].  I'll need names, ages, address, and phone number.  Let me know when you'd like to go, and what type of stateroom you'd like.

    Thanks!  :partytwo:

  10. I put this on the Cruise board, but wanted to post it here too, since this is where travel deals go.

Next week--from Tuesday through Friday--NCL is having a huge sale!!  You'll get reduced deposits, free stateroom upgrades, and great onboard credits (in addition to the onboard credit that you would already get from Travel On A Dream)!!

So, if you're thinking of booking a cruise--whether this summer to Alaska, or fall to New England/Canada, or winter to the Caribbean--now will be the time to do it!!

Remember, reduced deposits will allow you to book a fantastic cruise now, with as little money upfront as possible!

NCL is the cruise line that offers "Freestyle Cruising"--no dress codes, no assigned dining times -- you're free to do what you want, when you want!  [img alt=]http://fortfiends.net/forum/Smileys/aaron/party0006.gif

  12. The Signature restaurants are all very good!  And it's a good way to use some of those credits up!  Our favorite is Citricos at the Grand Floridian.  Some of the other signature places are Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge, Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Narcoosees at the Grand Floridian, the Hoop Dee Doo (must do!), and the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the Polynesian.

  13. I do have to ask (can't resist) -- what does BF mean in your above post?  I always thought that meant Boyfriend, but considering the rest of the context (LOL) I don't think that's what you mean!!  :)

My definition of BF is Best Friend, which happens to be female  :rofl2:

LOL  Now that makes a whole lot more sense!  :D
