I did the same thing as DaddysCoolTV, except I used the cutting bit. It has worked four times. I have made two lamps for other people and I have had to make two globes for myself. One globe met an untimely end at Christmastime during a microburst before a thunderstorm. I have since changed the base to a beautiful purple Christmas tree stand and I am on the hunt for a purple party light. :toiletreading:

Sensei, I look forward to the day that we get to meet in person. That is what this site is all about, meeting one another. The Fort is only one part of it. Part of what makes a Fiend is the friendships we foster and part of it is our love of the Fort. Through all of us actually meeting in person, we now take monthly trips all over the state of Florida with Fiends. I wouldn't have it any other way. Hell, I don't even mind Donnie mooching all our food! :) What makes it real is that we spend it with people, not ourselves. We used to camp by ourselves, but I found it repetitive and boring,

We have a MH and in the summer, pull a popup as well. The son is getting older and our MH was built for a retired couple. Now, for a family of three, this MH set up is ideal because the youngin' can sleep on the pullout couch, however, only children like to bring friends along to play. So, last year, I hunted Craigslist until I found a fool selling his popup for 250 bucks. Yes, it needed some work, but for less than 800 total, I now have a working popup, with a basically brand new lift system (that was what was wrong with it) and I don't hook up the water or propane because the boys are in

The last time I used the online reservation system and did not turn it over to an agent, Disney canceled my reservation, kept my deposit and when I showed up for Halloween, overbooked the resort. They wanted me to go to Coronado Springs and leave my camper in the overflow parking lot. They were not happy about me running my generator to keep my stuff cold either. I told them I was not sleeping on anyone else's DNA. They told me all the cabins were full and put my butt in the overflow lot. I then was told 10 minutes after starting my generator that I had to leave because I was not allowed

I remember staying at a Holiday Inn (or leaving one) on 192 (back when it was a 2 lane road :rofl2:) and we stopped to stay over so we could get to the park early in the morning. That was a joke because my family never does anything early. :rofl2: We turned on the lights and there were 7 roaches on the beds and 9 on the walls. My sister screamed, I yelled an obscenity and got slapped and my mother said a blue streak that would make a preacher faint. (these are rare) We did not stay. :rofl2: If you have ever met my family, you would completely understand this scene.
