I prefer embassy suites when I travel for business. They are reliably clean and comfortable - generally expensive but its not my money and my boss likes me to be happy. I'm an account manager for a company that designs, builds and sets up mega trade show booths. So I am really lucky - I get to travel to fun places usually 8 or so times a year. I would say 6 out of 8 of those times - I end up at embassy suites. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress the last time I was in Orlando - I hated it. My husband is on a business trip and he usually does all the cooking. I looked at the clock last night and realized I forgot dinner. The kids complained so I let them have Ice cream. Worst . . . or best mom ever - you choose. Tonight - I cooked raviolli - no complaints yet except I didnt cook enough for them and myself - so they are eating but now I have to figure out what Im going to eat. By the end of the week I may have this cooking thing figured out and then he will be home.

Nice - Jealous. Can you list the must do's by Island? Any stand out hotels that wont cost me a boatload? We are thinking we are going to Island hop - Is that really practical or just a daydream?

Closer to universal - think international Drive - Ugh.

You have to take him to Canada eh - Le Cellier - It sounds fancy - but they have a nice Steak and potato - actually - a to die for steak and potato. Just tell them to dress it down - plain - they will be able to do it Im sure.

I will be in Orlando next week on business - Sadly - Im not staying at the Fort. I just cant be that far away from the Convention Center. I may be able to squeek in a quick visit one afternoon but mainly I'm going there to work. I was looking for resturant options for in the evening. I would love nothing more than to walk around Epcot but we arent getting our annual passes until October. I am thinking off-Disney resturants. Thanks! Whip

I think I am looking to hear other peoples experiences - the good, the bad, the must do's, the best islands. I know - not real specific - but we are just getting started - I would be interested in most any thoughts at this point.

We are planning the trip of a lifetime for when my daughter turns 16. so we have 4 + years to plan and save. We live in New England - we are probably going to go for three weeks. We do have some family there and they have provided some insight -but I am interested to find our what other people think about the islands.

2012 cant come soon enough!

The only time I intend to go back is when Pete is back - I want to see his response to things. I also want to send him a private message with my goodbye. I do think part of him cares. Other than that - I can't wait to tattoo my giant duck tape golf cart parade float with www.fortfiends.net. I can see it now.
