  1. We have a pitbull / boston terrier mix - 6 months old - she is a wonderful dog, very smart and loving - but suddenly she is jumping on everything. She has always been high energy and bouncy but no matter what I do I can?t see to get her to stop jumping on people, furniture, etc. Its driving me a little bananas. We tried ignoring the jumping, we taught her to sit, she still goes nutso whenever someone walks in the room. Will she grow out of it you think? Any tips or advice would be appreciated - we are novice dog owners.
  2. It was so windy and cold we decided to skip it as well. I already went to the Hartford Show - plus it looks like a new camper is off the table for this year :doublebeer:
  3. We had a 10x20 and two 10x10's set up in a square on our site in 1500 for a total of 400 square feet of living space and still had the entire back of the site with the picnic table, bikes, etc I would say there was easily another 200 - 300 square feet of space. The sites do vary but I think you wont have any problem with any size tent you bring - unless its a circus tent.
  4. You can never count on bonuses - I hope it all work out for you!
  5. It seems like we should have a home here for those with wee - little ones. Any tips or advice you can share?
  6. I bet it will be done by September - No way they will have it looking like this for the Halloween season.
  7. worst. attraction. EVAH. Remember when this had the monster instead of stitch . . . Definately - awful - waste of valuable space if you ask me.
  8. I was scared on astro orbiter - its very high up there. The seatbelts arent very tight - I was hanging onto my kid so I wouldnt fall out.
  9. Ok - I consider myself pretty computer savy - perhaps its because I don't google (I hate how they ignore 9/11) - but I have no idea what an igoogle is.
  10. What kind of fish can we expect to catch at Fort Wilderness? I would be interested in pictures.
  11. Our Easter bunny tends to deliver very elaborate themed baskets. So say this year our Easter Bunny was to bring fishing gear for a 6.5 year old boy - what would he bring? This particular boy has no fishing gear to start and will be using his gear to catch and release pond fish with his Mom & Dad during the summer. Mom and Dad have limited experience fishing - but are going to get into it as well. Are there any books you might recommend for children who are interested in fishing? Is there a special tackle box at Cabelas or something that could work as an Easter basket? What do fisherm
  12. :toiletreading: I dont usually like too many rules but like this seems like a hazard, fire, dog, kid, peace & quiet just some kind of hazard - I would have called their butt in - Yes - you may call me POPO Whipperwhirl
  13. You mean to tell me that the person in front of your campsite didn't have trouble with air leaking from his tires? :rofl2: It seems to me that you could take this up with the staff at FW (maybe after he looses air from his tires?) and they would probably remove the car. They dont have any right to park in a loop - thats just crazy.
  14. In college we used to just take them out and leave 'em on the table. Or the floor. :rofl2: Its perfectly acceptable to take them out and leave them on the table in my opinion.
  15. I think you did the right thing! It seems like Roz really takes care of her customers and has a loyal customer base.
  16. And we are not babysitters either!! Don't let your kids hang at other peoples site for HOURS!!! Excellent point - Dont drop your kids off with strangers - Hello!
  17. OH - great topic! Respect bump! MIND THE KIDDOS - I think my question of ettiquette point is an easy one. I have never found this to be a problem at Fort Wilderness as much as it is at other campgrounds - but keep a tab on your kids. My kids had made numerious friendships over the years camping. But there have also been times where they have been bullied - even picked on relentlessly by kids who seem to be running amuck without a parent in nearby. Young kids - 6, 7, 8 and teenagers - just out of control. I have had to go so far as to stalk them to find out where their site is so I can
