  1. I know the people who own the one in Williamsville - they're dirty too
  2. Some friends just stayed at YC for $99/night. Rented points on ebay......
  3. Yeah, but you know the buses a lot better than I do......
  4. We've eaten at most of the ones we want to eat at on Disney property - Victoria & Alberts is the one we still want to do sometime. Our favorite? Flying Fish and Jikos, Le Cellier and ESPN. I think the food is overpriced, especially recently, but it is good. We have never had a bad experience except for a crappy lunch once at San Angel. We ate at the new Mexican place in December and it was great - but I had a lot of tequilla and don't remember much. And Raglan Road was great too. We've probably eaten at Biergarden and R&K the most though. Seems we gravitate to thos two a lot.
  5. My sistertook me here first and it has to be my favorite restaurant in Orlando now - the food is great, they have lots of beers on tap, they have a good special on wednesdays (lobster). I'll let her expand on it I have trouble getting past the beer!
  6. We've eaten here several times and had one bad meal there - the rest were great.
  7. Rob, I'm kind of hooked on offsite condos now. They're inexpensive, huge and have all the ammenities (and more) of the Disney resorts. As for parking fees there are ways around that too.
  8. Yup - it's a called a GAC, if I remember correctly. That's a really good board on the Dis that deals with disabilities........ the card is used to assist those with hidden disabilities and can help with a lot of things - the one thing it is not though is a front of the line pass. Jim - not sure how similar this is, but our son had acute agoraphobia and panic syndrome starting in the 7th grade and continuing until a few years ago. I still see signs of it now and again. he was home schooled for a year and then went to a private school up until high school. He got better until college and th
  9. This was my favorite spot at Christmas
  10. I like this place too - it's a very good deal - as are the sammiches at Epcot in Norway especially if you use speech to text! :o
  11. The weather weinies got it wrong again - we only had about 8-10" of snow, not over 2'! But it's still a pain. My wife decided to stay inside and just watch. Thank God for snow blowers! I was thinking about having a beer in the gazebo, but I guess not! It only took me about 45 minutes to clean everything out and that included my next door neighbor's driveway.
  12. only when your eyes are closed.
  13. They have good beer there. The steak at Coral Reef is good too.
  14. As for Island hopping - we went for 12 days - stayed on Oahu (Waikiki Beach) and went to the Big Island for a couple of days to see the volcano. It was great. We stayed at the Hale Koa which is a military resort for $99/night right on the beach. There are lots of cheap - very nice places to stay with the military. Here's a picture of it...
  15. I've always liked ESPN, but I'm not a picky eater. I'll eat just about anything - especially insects!
  16. I like Embassy Suites too...... When we come to Disney now, we tend to stay in time shares we rent through AFVC (Armed Forces Vacation Club). They cost $349/week now and are awesome. There are other places you can get good rates too. In December we stayed at Polynesian Isles and Bonnet Creek. Both were great for different reasons. When I get around to it I will post a review of both of them.
  17. I agree. The last visit in December I pushed my wife in a wheel chair because she had bac surgery. This is a good category to add.
  18. I thought the question was "Where to pick up men at Disney."
  19. The answer to all of these questions is: "Who cares?" -or- "Yes" -or- "Maybe" Take your pick
  20. Rocks are usually brown or gray. I remember in basic training when I had to paint rocks - white, not purple
