  1. How did you like it there? Our friends want us to go w/ them for a week there for Spring Break. Is there much to do for a whole week? They have full hookups, right? I think it would be awesome for a couple days, just not sure about a week :rofl2:
  2. We camped for the first time at Ft. Desoto over New Years. I looked at every site's picture online and figured out a couple we wanted and then got up at midnight on 6 months to the first day of our trip to book it. We had site 133 and LOVED IT......We enjoyed it so much we are going back for Memorial Day and 4th of July. Both of those trips I didn't plan as well and we don't have nearly as good of a site. Great pictures!!
  3. Another vote for Lazydays! They were wonderful to work for and we had an excellent sales person. Made the whole experience very nice - even if we did sign away the next 12 years
  4. We really liked it. It was small, very clean and quiet. We were the only campers there all week! The owners take really good care of it and are very nice! We didn't go in the laundry and bath house though, so I can't say how they were. If you want to go to Oktoberfest, it is about 5.8 miles out of town on the same road that Unicoi State Park is on. Unicoi has a campground too, but does not have full hook ups. If you want to do some sight seeing (waterfalls, Brasstown, etc) it is in a pretty good location. I believe they had a few sites that would be too short for our trailer (30ft) an
  5. DUH! I forgot how to insert pictures....so again, here is one from October 2010. Site 1902
  6. Here are a couple pictures from Creekwood Resort outside Helen, GA. The campground was VERY nice. However, because of the FREEZING temps, we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors at all. We had to take this trip because my sweet mother in law passed away and we took the camper because all the family was coming to town. I "thought" it would be better to have our own space and not be in a hotel. Now I wish we had just gotten a hotel. Apparently our Passport has zero insulation and the big windows do not help! :-\ The campground has full hookups, which were a must. I didn't want to use a comfo
  7. That is too cute. My ds loved it when he was 4, now at 6 he is scared to death. Last time he rode it, he lost a loose tooth
  8. Another Kim Possible vote. Not sure your kids ages, but my kids love both innovations. The one has Sum of all Thrills (I think that is what it is called), where you design a roller coaster, airplane ride or 1 other then ride it on a simulator. That was a lot of fun --- have to be 48 " They also love the aquarium over in the Nemo building.
  9. My kids love all the playgrounds. And the main pool! My ds loves the arcade.
  10. Carol, we just stayed at Amy's in Tifton --- 2 weeks ago on our way home from Georgia. It was as you said, just so so. DH was afraid to set the Mickey lamp out, thought it might not be there in the morning. We also stayed at Reed Bingham State Park. It is just north of Valdosta (Exit 39). It is about 6 miles off I-75. We got there after dark and left before dark, but we had a sweet pull thru site and it was spacious enough. Wish we could've seen it in the daytime, the park looked nice as far as we could tell. And the bathrooms were much nicer than Florida State parks!
  11. If you can sneak it in, try to get to Zion National Park. It is about 4-5 hours away from The Grand Canyon and only about 2 hours from Las Vegas. We drove to it early in the am from Vegas, spent a few hours then made the 5 hour drive back to Flagstaff all in one day. Wish we could've spent more time there. It is amazingly beautiful...my dh liked it better than the Grand Canyon. Both parks were amazing and I cannot wait to get back out there sometime w/ our camper. Either DH has to be laid off again from work or wait a few years when we can take 4 works or more off!! Someday! :siren:
  12. I just had to start my kids young so they were used to it. We took the youngest when she was a mere 2 months old. I really don't know how to do Disney w/out strollers, it is just something we are so used to
