  1. Those two pictures combine to give such a great view of your family and beautiful daughters. So glad y'all had such a great trip together!
  2. Wow! What a great trip we had this time. Amazingly, each trip is always great, but somehow this one seemed particularly awesome. Having close friends friends with us was great fun. Of course, now I can’t wait for our spring break trip back to FW with my girls’ grandparents (my dad and stepmom), a bunch of aunts and uncles, and if I’m counting right, up to 8 cousins, all staying in 1-2 campers and 1-2 cabins. Loads of fun! Anyway, the big question I wanted to answer this trip was how BLT compared to FW, as we haven’t stayed anywhere other than a cabin for the past 4 trips. I may not have
  3. Thanks, Kim! I'm always looking forward to another report by you, so it's always high praise from you! Thanks so much! We really did have a magical time!
  4. Thanks! Coming from you, that's a great compliment! Wow - What kind of moron am I? Since we didn't do that on this trip, I completely forgot. Glad you reminded me, though - There's always next time! Great start to your next report, BTW! Another brain fart on my part. I actually thought of Cindy's evil ways when we met her (she tried to act nice, but I knew better), but I forgot by the time I posted the picture. I'm so not worthy. (Props to you for another great TR! Hope to see pics of all those girls!) Thanks! The pictures are a combo of pictures - many were taken by me with my point
  5. Yay for another (albiet brief) trip report by TCD! That's a big line for fish and chips! Glad you liked them, though. They're by far our favorite CS meal although we haven't been able to have them for far too many trips lately. Looking forward to more! Leslie
  6. Awesome start to a non-Fort report! Can't wait to hear all about it and, more importantly, see more pictures! The views you showed us so far are great (as are It's Not Cindy's slip covering skills). Looking forward to more!
  7. We made it out of CRT just before rope drop. We were heading to Tomorrowland first, of course planning to hit Space Mountain, so we went out the front of the castle toward the bridge. On our way, we saw the hoardes of people coming from the entrance heading our way. I died laughing when Jodi ran, yelling "Charge!", with her CRT sword pointed in front of her like she was heading into battle (she opted for the sword over the wand), until she met up with the rope drop CMs. I was going to take a picture of the very empty street heading into Tomorrowland: when Phil made it very clear that he w
  8. Wednesday, June 1 For the first time ever, I actually slept through my watch alarm this morning. Nothing like being good and tired, but in a good way, from such a fun trip. Thankfully, I still managed to wake up in time to get Ray and the girls moving and packing on time. I looked out the window today and was so happy to see this: Can you see them? How about this? It was balloons! They were far off in the distance, but it was very fun getting to see them. We still had a good bit of groceries left over, but we did a lot better this trip than on most prior trips. We at least ate some o
  9. Y'all all rock! I haven't been doing individual replies as it's all I can do to get this report finished before I forget everything that happened on this trip, but I feel like I have to respond to a few of TCD's comments: 1. Yes, please share the Bear Smile with us! 3. Claire is a big TB fan, along with the Braves, Alabama football, and who knows what else. 4. I'm so ashamed... 5. Help me out on this one - what are the fake photopass photos? (I'm sure I'm just being dense, but I have no idea. ) 8. I'm awesome at the white dots! 10. Y'all want the recipe? It's the easiest thing ever
  10. Hey guys! Thanks for y'all's sweet comments! We really did have a fabulous trip. The kids all got along so well and did great with their newfound freedom, and the adults had a blast, both being with them and when they weren't around. I was hoping to have another installment up tonight, but that's looking doubtful at this point. Work is driving me crazy. :comeback: Hopefully by tomorrow night I'll have it up. Thanks again!
  11. Tuesday, May 31 This morning, two of the kids did something entirely different than any of us have ever done at WDW before. Danielle and Katherine both got up at 6:00 a.m. (which is really a feat for two fourteen-year-olds) and met on beach to watch the sun rise. Ray bet Danielle and me each $10 that she wouldn’t do it, so it was an expensive morning for him. :raspberry: Anyway, they both got up, watched sun rise and then went back to sleep on one of the hammocks on the beach. They had a great time. I saw them once from our window and it looked like a lot of fun, even if they did look li
  12. Thanks, y'all! And Carol, sorry about the shirt but you can't keep a Roll Tide girl down! Getting dangerously close to the end of this report. More shortly...
  13. After TSMM, Dave broke off from the group to go to One Man’s Dream while the rest of us were ready to check out the new Star Tours with FPs that I had grabbed during lunch when our TSMM FPs came due. (I have to admit that I thought I was pretty smart on that one. O0 ) On the way to Star Tours, though, we stopped for ice cream and then got sucked into helping with a "commercial" for HS right by the hat. The kids were all in the video they purported to make, and Ray was the microphone guy. Everyone had a great time and Ray even got a souvenir out of it. (He's now officially a "Movie Buff".
  14. Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day) This morning, I woke up early (of course) and decided that I’d go grab a hot breakfast for everyone instead of having more of the same in the room. The Contempo Café came through again. My only mistake was getting one breakfast for each of us – 5 meals was about 2 too many. It was all good, though! The plan was to meet the Smiths at the bus stop around 8:15. We were a couple of minutes late, but all them were already there. No one wanted to sleep in today! :D We took the opportunity to get lathered up and sprayed with sunscreen, and then hopped the bus he
  15. New readers - Yay! About Kali, Beth, yes I think she would be fine as long as she's tall enough (don't know what the height requirement is but it should be easy enough to find out). It's not like a roller coaster at all and really not fast, but it does have one big drop toward the end. But, I think she'll have so much fun leading up to that point, that she won't mind at all. Thanks for everyone's comments!!
  16. Hey Guys - sorry I didn't get an update posted yesterday. Father's Day activities kept me occupied until too late to try to get an update done. Liv, glad you found us! Kim and Stefa, thanks for your sweet comments as always! About the white out shirts, yes, those are names that are whited out. I give everyone alter-egos for these reports, so I whited out the real names on the shirt. I feel like I really need to do this when we have other families traveling with us. I hate it, as the shirts are so much cuter without the dots, but it's just something I feel like I need to do. More to come
  17. Well, now that our Memorial Day trip is over :'( , I'm looking forward to our next trip over Spring Break 2012, this time back to FW! By the time that trip comes around it looks like my dad will have a 5th Wheel (we're all very excited!). At least some of us will be staying in a cabin, and my dad will be bringing his very small dog with him. It seems like the loop designations change frequently, or maybe it's just that I don't understand them fully. Regardless, I'm hoping y'all can help me figure out where to request for our group. We'll be linking the reservations and definitely qualify
  18. "Yahoos" is as family-appropriate word I could come up with given that they spent the first 30 minutes in the park that day drinking coke! :-X
  19. By the time we got off TT, Epcot was packed. Slightly off-topic note here: I was really surprised at how crowded it was our whole trip. Last time we were there was spring break 2010 and everything was packed to the gills, but we were able to ride whatever we wanted because we had 9 Give-A-Day vouchers that we used to get tons of instant fastpasses. Of course, we didn’t have that this time and I was worried about whether the trip would be as fun. But, of course it was – it was just a different trip this time. Not killing ourselves to ride everything but instead just going with the flow and
  20. Wow - I'm totally into this TR! Can't wait to see what is to come.
  21. Sun, May 29 – Epcot day! As always, I was first up on Sunday. Happily, we weren’t doing morning EMH this day, so everyone else got to sleep in a little extra. I again caught a few pics of our wonderful view: It’s hard to see in these pics, but someone was actually out there at the main CR pool swimming laps! Pretty small diameter to get much mileage in, but it looked like fun. Finally, it was time for me to wake everyone up. These two looked amazingly comfortable on the pull out couch: After breakfast in the room, we were on the move. We had planned to meet the Smiths at the monorai
  22. Y'all are so awesome for all your comments! And, I love the "time of my life" description of the pictures! That is what is so great about WDW. Somehow, every trip turns out to be a "time of my life" type trip, which must have something to do with us continuing to go back and back and back. We all just immediately relax, don't worry about all the usual stresses of home, and just settle into a great time. :parrot: (I've always wanted to use the bird smilie!) Anyway, thanks again for reading! Next installment up shortly.
  23. Thanks, guys! Y'all are very sweet and make me happy that I'm here! Glad you can appreciate the beauty (??) of the rhino face. Seriously, it drives me crazy sometimes, but it's become such a normal thing that it's hard to get a group picture without someone going rhino on me. I know, Dave, I'm terrible about food - I eat too much of it but don't take any pictures! If I make any sausage things this week, I'll make sure to post a pic. :fork:  Thanks for reading!!!! Leslie
  24. The real fun began when they arrived at the MK: And, they even stopped for some photopass pics: While all the kids were gone, Ray and I just hung by the BLT pool and relaxed with a couple of beers. I jumped in to cool off a time or two, but we mainly just sat in the shade, people watched and had fun chatting about everything and nothing. It was very nice. You don’t realize how little of that down time you get with your spouse till you actually get some. Meanwhile, Dave was catching several much-needed naps in his room, so this mid-afternoon split from the kids was a def
