  1. Yes, that was one of the pros for getting the plane. Makes meetings a lot easier :) He does indeed rock! I think so as well. I'm pretty sure the photo is going to be a Christmas gift for Dad too. We did make it to Epcot, coming your way soon! Thanks! Yeah, I like the circus area as well. I actually brought bathing suits for Miss V and Niece A to play in the Casey's Jr. area, but we ran out of time. Most of the restaurants at Disney are really gluten-free friendly. One family member calls it "the gold standard for allergies". However, we did find a restaurant that wasn't
  2. I'm not actually certain Stepmom has been in the plane. She may be boycotting. :)
  3. Day 4 Day 4 was pretty awesome. But it was not spent at Disney. A few years ago my Dad bought an RV. He liked the RV, but he wasn't using it as much as he'd like. So, he traded it in. For a plane. This shouldn't surprise me, he's worked his career in aeronautics. Anyways, I hadn't seen the plane, so here it is. It was pretty cool. (Miss V is devising a new flight plan) I'll be honest Dad asked me if I wanted to go up, and I was having anxiety just thinking about it. So I declined. Maybe next time. After checking on the plane, we went boating. Here's Sister E bein
  4. So a few months ago I decided to get with all the young hipsters and open an Instagram account. If you're interested here are some of the photos from the day, all Instagram'ed out-
  5. I think we were there the week before you, and as soon as I came home I read something about them starting to hand out umbrellas. So we must have just missed it.
  6. After Minnie and Daisy we went off to meet Dumbo Views from the Fastpass lane- Dad and Niece A in front of us- Wheee! I actually really like the upgrades and details in Dumbo. After Dumbo, Dad and I quickly decided it was time for sustenance! So Be Our Guest we went. The CM said it was a 30 minute wait, and I can tell you we waited exactly 30 minutes in the line outside. It was H-O-T and they kept asking people to bunch together and move forward. There was another CM handing out ice water, and if she wasn't there, I'm sure there would have been casualties. There's be
  7. Ok, so in an effort to keep to keep this thing moving, I'm skipping over Day 2 entirely. It mainly consisted of me watching teenage Korean soap operas anyways. (Don't ask questions you don't want answers to..) Day 3- The Magic Kingdom!! I wanted to be at Magic Kingdom at rope drop. Did that happen? Nope. It's kinda par for the course I guess. Sister E felt too ill to go to the Magic Kindgom that morning, so it left Dad, Miss V, and Niece A and myself. We were all loaded up at about 8:30 am. We made it to the gates about 9:20- But for some reason I was feeling directiona
  8. I've had a lot more going on than expected, but I promise a new post very soon! Thank you for that :) Yes, the 2014 edition will be in print. I'm expecting it to be out sometime this fall
  9. LOL! Thank God for Duffy as well! He might have become my pillow after she fell asleep... Thanks for following! Please don't bow, you should see my house right now.... #NotSuperMom LOL Yeah, I experienced the over-toilet-changing table on the way back.. Agreed, good times! :) That is weird. At least you're honest.
  10. The Redheads are adorable. Looking forward to more!
  11. Florida nicknames the portions of the coast based on personality of the area. A couple of examples are the Treasure Coast (Port St. Lucie area) because there's lots of shipwrecks. The Gold Coast (Miami) 'cause it will cost you a mint to live there! Space Coast refers to the area near NASA or Brevard County. Basically think Port Canaveral. :)
  12. Thanks! Giving me crap already. LOL BAM! Juggling the squirmy child, diaper bag, accouterments of many sizes and shapes, all while the child is simultaneously throwing her shoes, made picture taking a bit more challenging... LOL Not to say that it didn't happen, just made it more challenging! In all honesty, I had to delete a bunch cause they came out so blurry. But you're not going to like the next post... That they are!
  13. Day 1 The hubby and I have lived all over the country, and for the last year or so have called Seattle home. I like that it really doesn't snow here (which is a great improvement over the previous 6 years in Minnesota!), but it's far from our family on the East Coast. A large concentration of my family lives on the Space Coast, and it was time for a visit! (..and Disney too!) The hubby had to work, so it was just me and Miss V. I chose a direct red-eye from SEA to MCO, with hopes that Miss V would sleep the whole flight. She also qualifies as a lap infant, which was a major gamble on
  14. Another post coming your way! Thanks for following! I'll see what I can do... :)
  15. Awesome! Thanks! Thank you! Well... I may have been lurking for a while! LOL Great! Thanks for following along! Love your T@B, BTW! Thank you! :) I don't want to temp another disaster.... tsunami, earthquake, zombie apocalypse.... The wedding on Castaway Cay was probably the best choice we could have made. My husband and I really enjoyed it, and I think all of our guests did too! Yay! Lmao! :)
  16. Hey There! I'm Shannon, aka PixieB, and will be taking you on this adventure of sorts. So, who am I? Well, I'm not new Disney World, I've been going since I was a kid. I'm also extremely lucky in that my hubby also shares the same kind of excitement for Disney that I do. Here's a pic from our 2009 wedding onboard the Disney Wonder: I'm now a stay-at-home mom to a wonderful daughter, Miss V. I also blog, and heck I wrote a book. ADMIN NOTE: SHE IS A RAFFLE DONOR AND IS ALLOWED TO TALK (and link) ABOUT HER BOOK AND BLOG. THANKS FOR YOUR DONATIONS FOR THE LABOR DAY RAFFL
  17. Finally caught up! Great trip report so far! We were at BOG last week, and I thought it was great, but then again I had the turkey sandwich! It did take a bit to arrange for a highchair which I thought was odd since it is a Disney restaurant.. So, I can understand the concern for follow up once you receive your meal. That line was darn hot for us too. Good luck and congrats to Twin #2!
  18. Thank you so much for all the warm welcomes! :) Great trip report TCD, can't wait for your next one!
  19. Technically it's my second post, but who's counting? :) Thank you. Anyways, I really like the trip reports on the site, and thought it was about time to come out of lurkdom. Hi I'm Shannon, SAHM from Seattle, who has a slight Disney World problem. :)
  20. Sounds interesting... But not in a good way.. :)
