And here's a smaller version in case that one is too big to see easily...

Hello All!
Over the last few years, I have developed a style of pen & ink/watercolor artwork that I really enjoy. The centerpiece of each picture is an almost maze-like image (inspired originally by Aztec designs) drawn with only one unbroken line. This design is later accented with watercolor.
DramaMama and I have discussed me creating a very large piece for our Disney-inspired master bedroom that would consist of many canvases of varying sizes depicting the various parks and resorts of Walt Disney World. I decided to work on several smaller pieces first to shake off the rust -- it's been awhile since I've worked on one of these.
So...here is the first of my Disney series of paintings. I call it "Conduit". I need to take a better picture -- some of the design on the edges is cut off -- but this will give you an idea. See what you think...

As an Ole Miss grad, I'm neither surprised nor amused by that video. As far as perceptions, believe what you want. Here are my beliefs: It's a good school, I received a great education there, and I never visited The Grove during football season.
Now, I'm way more ticked off at Ole Miss about the idiocy that happened at a recent play performance than anything that happens in The Grove. However, I don't think undergraduate idiocy is unique to southern schools. I lived and worked near Ohio State for awhile. Just a different flavor of insanity.

When you're two years old....any water equals dipping.
Same here! Youth has its privileges.

Indian Springs? Nice
I wonder how many people here, have taken a dip there?
I have.
I too have taken a dip in Indian Springs. Good times. Sigh.

Boma? Bring it on!

Star Wars theme? What does that mean?
When you rent a camper from them they theme it in your choice of styles. This includes the decorations outside, bedspreads, interior decorations, etc. It's quite cool. The gravestone looks like one of the things from their Haunted Mansion theme.
We're actually renting from them in January. Our theme? Mickey and Friends!

Bring on the deer sausage!

Soarin'?
Indeed. It's the floorin' from Soarin'. I know you already knew that, but the rhyme was too good to waste.

Me three.
Also, I have trouble getting past the fact that these slimy things crawl around in dirt all day. Gross.
I've tried escargot several times. I'll eat it if I have too, but I'd just as soon eat an old piece of rubber covered in bread crumbs and butter. Same difference.
TCD
If that's what it was like to you, it wasn't prepared correctly. Cooked by a master, escargot is very tender. The texture thing I understand, but it doesn't bother me in the least.

Most of my hard ones are used, but here's an easy one!

Spaceship earth.
Darn. You posted my answer before me again. I obviously need to work less and read Fort Fiends more. :rofl3:

But I have to say, I've never had fresh snails right off the rocks. That sounds great!
Me neither. I think I'll send the kids out into the backyard to go catch dinner.

Haunted Mansion ride queue?

When I was in elementary school my favorite choir was getting those sheets of paper from the office for the teacher.
The combination of blue ditto fumes and chalk dust from pounding erasers could probably be classified as a "controlled substance." Good times, good times.

Hey, don't judge me. I also plan to eat a whole lot of escargot... or as I like to call them "butter boogers"
Mmmm....snails. Yummy. Although I do like the whole experience of pulling them out of the shells better than the little "bread shots". They look incredible though!

Oh brother.
Bring your own tray.
The trays they have for sale have a hole in them to hold a drink. These homemade trays need something like that.
Also, Lou said they ought to make a neck strap. Then you could have both hands free. I think he's on to something there.

Like those old "cigarette girl" boxes? That would be sweet.

The folks at Disney Food Blog recommend buying a tray and decorating it to your tastes before you come to the festival. Not a bad idea at all. Here's the link:

Oh, and I'm in. I'll take any chance to read and talk about food at Disney!

Now, it's going to be packed.
Don't underestimate the average person's apathy towards anything resembling a museum.

I saw Steamboat Willie for the first time in that theater. Pure magic.

I'm having trouble getting geared up for the epic Alabama-Georgia State battle this afternoon. Must be something wrong with me.
I am looking forward to watching alma mater #2 (Ole Miss) play Auburn. As an Alabama grad I'm required by law to root against Auburn at every possibility anyway. (I tried to cheer on Auburn in the National Championship a few years back to show my SEC pride. All I could manage was a sort of warm neutrality. Hey, I tried.) I did actually play lacrosse for Auburn in an exhibition game once, but that's a painful story for another time.

Cinderella's Royal Table?

Um... dressing up as a cupcake can get you called a "pot-stirring idiot":
I'm still a bit of a newb, so I had to get that one explained to me. Now I get it.

Thanks, everyone! I'm so glad you like it!
About 4 hours or so. The ink step is really nerve wracking since one wrong move means I have to start over. Doing the entire drawing with one line makes it a real challenge. If you trace the line around you'll find that I do part of one area, go to another part of the drawing, and eventually make my way back. If you're not careful you find that you've trapped yourself in a corner. Makes for a little drama as you draw!
I'm already planning the next one. I think this one will feature Belle.
