  1. I know there are a few ways to figure out what loop you want etc... but the three loops we stay in usually are 600, 1200, 1300.  I wanted an overlay with the site number and sizes.  I borrowed the map from Touringplans and used the Fort Fiends app for the site sizes.  I thought if everything was on one page it might make it easier.  At this point I would have to wait for a future trip to layout more loops, if anyone would have an interest in a similar map for the loops.

Please let me know what you think, feedback is always great.

  2. I just got back from the Fort, rented a cabin for a business trip.  I have to say the billing at the Fort and all of WDW drives me crazy.  I pay 100% of the bill for the room/tax etc... when I arrive, then they put all of the costs back on the bill when I check out and mix in all of the other charges.  It takes 30 minutes to figure out what I spent while I was there, what I already paid for etc...  I wish they would change the billing over to the way other hotels do it.  Marriott for example will list the total room balance at the top and show it paid then start a zero sum from that point forward, so the bottom line is what you spend while you where there.

I may be the only one that feels this way, but I thought I would vent a little today.  Leaving in 3 weeks with the RV for Spring Break at the Fort.  Cannot wait (but do not want to look at the bill again).

  3. Just had dinner at new Skipper Canteen last night. Great location and good food. All items are made to order and can be modified if need be. The food is region specific to the jungle areas. They have recently added same day reservations which worked very well for us. The manager stated it gets busy around 6:30pm. Give it a try. It is nice to have another sit down restaurant in the Magic Kingdom that doesn't just serve chicken nuggets.

Take a look around all three rooms when you are there, very cool story they are telling in each room.

  4. We are at the fort right now, this is the worst we seen with people going the wrong direction in the loops. Golf carts, cars, bicycles etc... We came around the corner to be head on with someone else.

Also noted how many kids are driving golf carts and mini bikes etc... I am afraid if people keep breaking all of the rules then none of us will be permitted to bring our carts.

  5. We drive from Stow Ohio to WDW twice a year, and fly two other times.  I have also gone at least once a year since 1974, so there are two Stow Disney Fiends.

We try to leave Stow around 6:00am and we drive to the KOA in Kingsland Georgia, it takes about all day, but it is the last exit in Georgia on 95.  Then we have 3 1/2 hours the next morning to Disney.

Sometimes we leave in the afternoon after School and stay in Wytheville, VA and then drive the rest of the way the next day.  On the way home we drive from Disney to Mayberry Campground in Mt. Airy, NC.

Good luck and maybe we will run into you in Stow or WDW.
