left friday 7/1 after working a 12 hour shift, headed to orlando. this was gonna be a help the grandparents trip, grandfather has Alzheimer's, and is not doing good. half way down had to change a seperated rear tire, then got stopped in a dui check point in williston, fl. finally made it to wdw and pop century, where we were told we had ressies. after 30 mins of haggling, we were informed that we had ressies in all stars not pop, thxs mom...lol. sat- spent the day in home depot and building an access ramp for grandfather to get into house easier. went back to hotel so dd7 could go swimming, but when we got to the parking lot, there were 5 sherriff cars and a disney security vehicle in lot. went to pool to find out it was closed due to some yahoos causing chaos. so went pool hopping at one of the other all star pools. sun- went to golf galaxy for some stuff, had lunch at mcd's on sand lake rd (not the big crowded one, smaller one down towards dr phillips). tried to get golf tee time, but was full, so off to the fort. at the fort was told by gate that i needed a ressie for TE, to which i responded" since when?" seems they dont want too many people in the fort, but being that i was a resort guest, i could go park. wandered around the trading posts, saw 1 fiend sign- tnbob's i think it was, new sites past medow tp, and had a good dinner at TE. walked back to the movie area, watched the end of tangled, walked past the pool and went back to all stars for another round of swimming for my dd. mon- checked out, went to my grandparents to help move some stuff to storage, then a 4 pm tee time at LBV. had the course to myself, which was great, had dinner with my grandparents, then a small 87th birthday cake for grandfather, 3 hour nap, then drive home at 2 am. thats about it.

sorry not the best, and no pictures-camera still not replaced from the last time.

The only thing wrong with a short trip report - it usually means you had a short trip <img class="bbc_emoticon" alt=":-\" src="http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/undecided.gif">

I know it's early for me Ed, but what exactly are you trying to say here :rofl2:

I think you must travel the same way I do when I go to the Fort. We go down 20 then 98 to Chieftain then to Ocala 27. Is that the way you go? Glad you had a good safe trip!

we go 98-27-75-turnpike-429. hate going i-10, too far out of the way where i live to get to it.

wish we could have meet TCD, would have been nice to meet ya
