Thank you everyone for your responses. It sounds like this ice machine may be doable for us. I will definitely look around to find a less expensive model. I like your idea, ftwildernessguy. We have a couple that we camp with and they have one so I might steal this idea. They would never know that I helped myself to some of their ice.

I found one on sale for $169.97. The regular price is $299.00 so that is why I am inquiring. We do not pay for our initial ice (hubby fills up at the fire station) so our cost comes from having to buy more ice while camping. Anyway, I am curious of any first hand knowledge if anyone has one.

Does anyone have the Dometic Portable Stainless Steel Ice Maker? I am thinking of buying one and was curious if anyone had it and how they like it. We use a lot of ice and although I know it will not fill a cooler but it does make 33lbs of ice daily. If I fill my cooler and just add the ice as needed I wonder if it would be worth the initial investment.

Although this looks yummy, the price is too steep for me.

Congrats on getting a cart. That is still on my shopping list. One day hopefully I can post pix of ours. :)

She is only saying very simple things like mama, daddy, bottle but when we found out my daughter was pregnant, I decided I was way to young to be a grandma so we decided on GiGi. Sometimes I think Jadynn (the grand daughter) is trying to say it because she says GeeGee as in the long e sound. We spent a week at Fort Wilderness in Feb for her 1st birthday. She obviously will not remember it but we had a blast. We have reservations for Dec 7-12 and will take the grandbaby with us. She will be almost 2 at that point and really into Christmas and Mickey.

Hi everyone, Just wanted to introduce myself. I am Sara and have been married to the better half for almost 26 years. We have two children, a daughter who is 23 and a son who is 19 and 1 granddaughter who just turned 15 months. We love to camp and have visited Disney several times but only camped twice! We have a quick weekend trip coming up in May but we will be staying at the Contemporary. My son ships out for the Marines boot camp June 9 so this will be our last family trip together for a while and the Contemporary stay is part of his graduation gift. I look forward to reading the board and
