  1. Hello fellow fiends. My family had planned a long weekend camping trip for this weekend but the weather looks horrible here. We are in SC. The forecast looks better toward FL. Maybe the Jax/st. Augustine area. The only place we have camped In fl is the fort so we are looking for somewhere north of the fort for a nice long weekend. I know it has gotten so hard to just show up somewhere but if any of you have any suggestions of places where it will not rain that is near that area we would love to hear them!
  2. Thanks for the gamecock shout out! OMG all of that food looks so good! Funny we talked about Eggs at dinner tonight! Who knows maybe one is in our future! You should do marketing for BGE! You've sold me!
  3. Awesome report! Never been to Stone Mountain camping. It's on the list we just can't seem to get to the list-the Fort somehow has gotten in the way! My husband has BGE envy! Think that would be a contender for best Christmas present ever!!
  4. Thanks for the advice TCD those are great tips! We are counting down to midnight on the 23rd. Hopefully all will go well! We are making several lists in case A&E doesn't work out. Mine train is second on our list!
  5. Hope you have a great trip! I enjoyed reading everyone's advice as I will be making the same decisions in a few weeks. We' ve done MK many times but this is our first with FP+ and I do hope it goes well. Unfortunately A&E is on our list and we will be there the week of Thanksgiving!
  6. One can always break out the emergency 12 pack!
  7. A friend passed this one along. It is so easy and tastes great! Beer Bread 3 c. Self rising flour 1/2 to 3/4 c. Sugar 12 oz. Beer, warm (pick your favorite! The darker the beer the more sugar you will need!) Melted butter, to taste Comine flour, sugar and beer. Stir until all ingredients are moistened. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 375 35 to 45 minutes. Brush with melted butter. We have also added cheese to the recipe-delicious!
  8. Just wanted to let you know that I, too, have enjoyed reading this thread. What an awesome job you guys are doing! Will make for many special memories for your family!
  9. What a great lampost! It's on our list of things to add before our trip, too!
  10. Enjoyed your report. Loved hearing your rope drop day especially. Glad to know you can still get a lot done on a holiday without FP+. I was worried about that! This trip for us will be a first with FP+. I sure hope those return lines are better in a few months. That is crazy ummm I mean MAGICAL!!
  11. That is a a great list! We have actually tried some of those! I saw a few more that I would like to add, too! Thanks for the link!

  13. Thanks for all the "Welcomes". GaDawgFan.....Kelly, it's GARNET, not RED.....just sayin'. We're planning to spend the next several days setting our schedule and definitely plan to set aside some valuable time to enjoy The Fort.
  14. Looking excitedly forward to our Thanksgiving 2014 trip to The Fort. This will be our 3rd stay at The Fort. We feel like The Fort is our 2nd home!!!! Definitely a place where memories are made. New user of the new FP+ system. Any suggestions? 8O
