Well, I am back home (ick...). Lights looked to be up everywhere when I left - not sure about Animal Kingdom, but the rest where full on.

Lights are starting to go up throughout the campground - more every night. I will be here till the 23rd, and will give an update then.

I get there there the morning of the 9th. Already plan to drop by your site for "coffee and dessert" on Sunday evening. I trust it will be Irish coffee...

Not sure if I should post this here or in the trip reports section...but I figured more folks read this forum, so: As several folks know, I will be making my first trip to the Fort next month for 14 days. I always take a ton of pictures, always meet new people, and always have a great time at Disney. But...I have never done a trip report! I will be making my first one this trip. What advice can the wise ones on this board give me?

Whew! Good thing. Last time I tried to make homemade apple pie I took one look at it and crumbled it all up: called it Apple Cobbler. It wasn't very good Apple Cobbler, either...

From reading all these replies, I have come to 2 conclusions: 1. I will spend more time at the campgrounds than I had originally planned - this many folks can't be wrong! 2. I will no doubt break some rules

I love my Bayside - really can't find another more modern popup I like better. And I think I will always camp in a popup. Yes, setup is a pain (especially in the rain!!!!), but I love the open feeling you get when you open all the windows and flaps. I don't understand the "spike" reference...what does that mean?

I stand corrected on my BACON mis-spelling. Is there anything in life better than the smell of frying BACON on the outside grill early in the morning? And the fresh coffee spell is the perfect compliment. As far as regretting my beer statement: I hope I do. And I hope I run out of beer for the first time: it will mean there will be a crapload of new stories fixin' to be written. By the way, I typically bring an assortment of Warsteiner, Spatan, and Paulaner Oktoberfest Märzen. Yep, that was me. Will no doubt bring my Golden Retriever, Gandalf. He guards the beer in case of otters.

I love ya'll. We will have Mikey's Beer Hall (with occasional wine tasting) and the Empress Oblivion Bar in Nov. I'm thinking this will be my best Disney trip ever!
