We're back now. Race was pretty great! Weather was much nicer than normal. It was almost cold at the end of the race. Unfortunately they are not doing the Tower of Terror 10 Miler next year. It is being discontinued or being replaced.

We are back home. Now only 356 days! :)

Thanks all. After 9 days at the Fort my wife says she had a twitch from going that long without painting haha!

The Poly is the only resort I haven't stayed at that I want to. But, I'll take Fort Wilderness whenever possible. :)

We've stayed at Fort Wilderness approximately 5 times in the past few years but I remember when I strayed. Our first stay was in the cabin and we loved it. We loved everything about Fort Wilderness. For whatever reason, we decided to stay in a "regular" resort the next year. The trip was fine until about night 4. On night 4, we had reservations to our first ever Hoop De Doo Review. I drove my family through the campgrounds and dropped them off near Pioneer Hall and then went back out to park. The drive in and out cemented it for me. I missed the Fort horribly. my 6 yr old daughter is on the Autism spectrum but I can really never get on to Disney for how they treat people with special needs. They are by far better than the rest of the world. Was the old way better for her? Absolutely. Yet we can make this work. It's a shame a bunch of horrible people faking things hurt the people who truly needed it.

We can't wait and the surprise upgrade is awesome. Our little ones will love being that close to the beach area!

Great news today. I called the Fort to cancel the golf cart. While I was talking to them I asked to be transferred to the front desk. I asked if a preferred site was available. She said yes! When I asked how much more would it be she said "No charge. I'm upgrading you for free." What an awesome surprise!
