Our Disney Visa just got paid off and is getting cancelled and cut up. We have AP and on our last vacation, I called ahead of time to be sure that we could put our accommodations on the card with the interest free period. They said of course and that we could also include our son's new AP as interest free because its a ticket. Long story short, to get the interest free deal you have to put on a package. We will never actually have a package since we do Annual Pass. We had to complain and they went back and reviewed the call and we won our case for interest free for this particular trip, but now we know it is useless to us. Thousands of dollars for maybe 40.00 in disney dream dollars. I dont think so.

This is very cool.

I won't complain too much, because I feel like Whispering Canyon will be great as well. I just don't like misinformation. One would think that a company like Disney would have easily accessible notes for the cast members to pull up so that all guests get the same information on things like dining and tickets. Different answers all the times is insane. Maybe I should go ask the talking Mickey. :)

On a facebook group, someone said that they had reservations on Thanksgiving Day. Before this point, I was calling almost daily and was told over and over that they were not taking reservations for November or December until they were certain of an opening date. So after the person on facebook said they definitely had the reservation, I called back in a series of bizarre contact with Disney Days. The person I talked to this time said sure we have been taking reservations for at least a month for Liberty Tree. I was furious since I had literally called daily for a while checking. What is the truth? Who the heck knows? I just hope that I could actually snag that reservation. I currently have Whispering Canyon, but I have never eaten at Liberty Tree.
The strangeness was when I tried to renew annual passes, and the website wouldnt work (not shocking), so I called and they all seemed so uneducated about the passes. They were asking me questions. Then MDE also went down and caused me major drama. Needless to say I was pretty ticked by the time I talked to the cast member who says, sure we have been taking reservations for a month...ugh! Anyway, I am excited to be there regardless.

I have never used this but I'm interested because I imagine the kids would love it. Do you have to be staying on property to use? It seems that you do but I'm not certain.

We love the frozen movies and characters and still don't like the castle switch.

I wonder what the best way to monitor this is? If by chance it opens that early I would be so psyched to snag a thanksgiving day reservation!

I have been trying forever to get into the Liberty Tree and it is scheduled to reopen on November 21. I will be at Disney from the 20-27th and I keep calling to try to snag a reservation, but they are still not taking them. Any inside info on this?

It will be awesome that I will now have 5 memory makers more or less. Yuck.
Oh and for informational purposes the Photopass Downloads do not extend to your friends and family for this. From the page where you would purchase your pass.
Disney PhotoPass Downloads
The Disney Platinum Plus Pass, Disney Platinum Pass and Disney Gold Pass include a benefit that lets you access and download Disney PhotoPass photos captured in your account from the first valid date of your pass until your pass expires. Plus, access and downloading is available after pass expiration for as long as the photo is stored in the system (365 days from date of capture). To start using this benefit, simply link your pass to the Disney account you will use to retrieve photos. Entitlement includes discounted prices on prints and physical product purchases, is non-transferable and benefits do not extend to photos of Family & Friends. Access and downloading is not available for photos captured after pass expiration or after a pass is removed from a Disney account.

After logging on to look at my options, I realized that I could have renewed 60 days before my anniversary date. That stings. Could have saved at least $400

Omg. Panic is setting in for me! I am ready to renew. I saw a comment on there about tiw also changing.

And I am just throwing this one out there....This is very close in timing with all of these new Fort Wilderness videos that they have been making. Cabins rent for around $500 a night on holidays...so they can probably pull more people in with them.

I must be the minority that is VERY unhappy. We loved the murphy bed because it was actually comfortable. The pullout sofas are never good in our experience. We actually slept adults in the murphy and adults in the bed in the bedroom. Those days are gone I suppose. Is this to push families to rent two cabins instead of just one? Not good. Also no oven!? That ticks me off. I liked the pantry as well. The bathroom looks good and the look of the kitchen is nice but I am totally unhappy with the upgrade (downgrade). The cabins were our favorite place to stay. Nobody wants to sit on that green couch. Looks like it should be at another resort. I HATE messing with sofa beds...ugh. Take off the cushions. fold out the bed, go get linens. Then you have to reverse all of that and deal with that again in the morning.

They were really pleasant about it. Maybe you got put on the bad list because they heard you have good bus luck and they don't want things to get too magical.OK, this is the second time recently that I've seen a comment like this about a guest being able to use Magical Express on a day other than the check-in or check-out day on the reservation.
I looked in to this on a previous trip as a way to get one of my daughters to and from the airport during our trip. I was flat-out told that since she was arriving and departing on days that did not coincide with my check-in and check-out date that she was not eligible to use Magical Express.
I also remember fellow Fiend Devores saying how he could not use Magical Express when he was staying at the Fort to get to and from the airport for a trip he took during his stay.
Did that change?
Or is this one of those deals where it depends who you ask.

I think it will work perfectly. My husband used this to fly home while we stayed at the fort during the summer. We had to call and straighten it out a little so that it was pick up for one person rather than a whole party.

What happened to frozen coming to Broadway in nyc? I know I read that somewhere but haven't seen a mention recently. I believe it said 2016.

Ghost of maelstrom. Disappear, disappear!

So do you think thousand trails is the most preferable campground that is close to Disney? Trying to decide on one.
-
As of now we cannot get the fort for Christmas. What are your thoughts on an extended stay at Sherwood? Transportation isn't a huge issue for us as we prefer to drive anyway. This would save us a huge bundle of $$. What's it like there and are you just as well off to go with the cheaper sites since we wouldn't be at the campground so much?

This is extremely exciting only bc I'm extremely nuts I guess :)

We do a lot of hooks with dollar tree totes hanging from them, metal mesh baskets screwed onto the wall above the sink to hold silverware and paper plates. Over the door hooks. We also use sticker chalkboard labels to label what's in each door/drawer.

No this is over to the left when you are going on but that certainly looks like some kind of building is going to be built.
New info when booking
in Disney Trips
Posted
Noticed this evening when I was checking to see what is available for MLK weekend, the disney site now shows how often the hotel/campground has been booked in the last 24 hours. The Fort was one of the more popular choices, being booked 160 something in the last 24 hrs, and Art of Animation was the most popular with Pop right behind it. Posted about it on a facebook page also. This is interesting to me because I see a major pattern going on all of the time, not just on holidays--they are pushing the DVC type rooms and the others always seem to show little or no availability. It was really interesting to see how many times some of the really expensive ones had been booked, some appeared not have been booked at all. Wonder what their angle on this one is?
