When we were leaving they had started some type of construction with lots of blocks there to build something in the open space close to the security entrance. Any ideas?

We have seen it, we just haven't actually sat down to watch a parade in a very long time. We won't sit down in advance and won't fight the crowd for a viewing spot. We are spoiled maybe.

I hope someone posts a pic so that I don't feel crazy. There was definitely a screen close to the vending machines that you could see from the road. It appeared to me that if you were sitting on a bench (as I did many times), you wouldn't notice it. I definitely used one at beach club also.

I love everything about a TCD trip report, but my absolute favorite part is the morning solo walking tours of the Fort and the observations and commentary.

Great stuff. We should really market this stuff to expand the readership.

It wouldn't surprise me. It actually saves most people money, as opposed to the DDP, which in most cases people lose money.

Agree. Good idea not to give back to those who are in your parks wasting money in other ways. This will be sad.

I saw cabin loops closed with porches or decks being replaced. The 2 in 100 got new porches also and some new wood on the sides. Also one morning I was out on the golf cart super early and saw 2 cars parked in the grass at the 4 way stop close to the exit where the chip and dale sign is located. I was kind of going slow looking at these cars when a guy rolls down his window in a Chevy Impala and asked if I had seen construction going on. Said he was lost. I said no and went on since the area was super quiet

I used the website and it was pretty reliable. I also noticed we have a screen now with bus times but it points away from the people sitting on benches. I kept telling my husband about the other resorts having them then saw it as we were driving off in a bus.

So even during the July 4th weekend the new cart parking was unused?

We saw some unreal, worst environment imaginable golf cart parking in late July this year. My husband had to literally move a cart by hand that was 100% blocking us in an area where we had no other way out. They were parking in the road that leads to the large Sandy area close to the beach. We have been there during way busier times but not quite as stupid times.

Not sure on this either but if you are doing more than one load you may be better off to buy from the trading post. It seems like they had it also but can't say for certain. We can use our annual pass discount there also.

My husband prefers buffets which are hard to find that are really good. Service does make a huge difference. We also love 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. We had a waiter who kept my id when we were paying with tables in wonderland. Thankfully we realized it before we left Epcot. The service at that meal caused us to hate the restaraunt, so I totally understand.

There was a birthday party going on a couple sites down from me with several cars which I totally get. That is cool with me. What I don't understand personally is how people can stand for every bit of their space to be taken up. It makes me crazy.

We have eaten this twice this trip at Beach Club. We have decided it's our favorite meal on property. The food is great. All you can eat crab legs, pecan crusted salmon, delicious mashed potatoes and sooo much more. Also had coral reef this trip and were disgusted by it and our special cake which is a whole other story...Someone would really have to come up with a way to change my mind that sit down meals in the parks are edible compared to resort meals. If you haven't tried this one and like seafood we would really suggest you try it out.

The amount of private parties and paid areas to watch fireworks etc is becoming insane. Twice this trip we have been locked out of the streets of America to private parties. The frozen thing at hs is out of control and in the way. Don't like it at Epcot either and then tonight when I was headed to test track I look over in a building and see a bunch of teenagers all dressed in white having some kind of celebration. All I know is buy some stock with the mouse because he knows how to bring in the cash. I wouldn't be surprised to see tours for the 4 seasons to the fort to see how the normal folks go to theme parks. My mother in law was at enterprise today and had to wait in line behind a man and his teenage daughter who were furious that they couldn't get a convertible suv. True story. Ugh

I'm reading from the fort in the rain.

We drove there also but on a Tuesday. We did valet parking to go to splitsville and then I got lost and drove up to the garage. It was easy to navigate and I was alone with 3 kids. Got mixed up with Siri and construction but it wasn't any major time loss.

There was one small area where it appeared they could get off with the old shed by it but definitely not Disney safe. Also so overgrown with vegetation that you would think you were in a jungle. You could still definitely see structures in tact on the island but there's no way I would go on it unless we had been heavily drinking around the world.

We were all around the island today. We rented a boat. Then we are taking the scenic route on the boat to magic kingdom, very little signs of use or life there. Snapped this pic there earlier...

We use just gotta go a lot for great deals. They are legit we have used them numerous times. Just google just gotta go hot specials. We use them regularly to stay at the resort on cocoa beach.

I would be willing to bet it is true. We bowled at splitsville last week and there were major differences in price the earlier you were there. We also got an annual passholder discount there as well and free valet with our tables in wonderland since we ate there also.

Most of the restaurants also have specials for thanksgiving. I know I tried to order something last year at Whispering Canyon a day or two before and the waitress was like it's not thanksgiving. Hmmmm maybe don't give that menu out til thanksgiving day then lady. I was so disappointed! She was totally unaffected though.
