The three day limit is for those with out onsite or good neighbor hotels (havent seen a specific list of those, Four Seasons, Swan and Dolphin, Disney Springs are all ones I do know)

Some AP holders with onsite reservations were having issues with only allowing 3 days but that seems to have been corrected to allow for length of stay up to 14 days to now be booked.

As far as I know that 3 days limit is until you use a day then you can make another. I could be wrong on that but I do not know. Word is though for AP with out a resort they are going to be releasing additional Park Pass availability. Havent seen that direct from Disney though so don't hold me to it.

And in case anyone hasnt seen this yet here is the Park Pass availability calendar you can check out before booking things. To see availability right now be sure to click on Disney Resort Guests until the other options open up.

I logged on yesterday morning - after being in a virtual waiting room for 7 hours ( yep...7) I was able to book a park for every day of our 3 week stay at the fort.  We are AP holders.  I didn't experience the 3 day limit that others did so maybe it was fixed by the time I had access at 3:00pm.  However, with all of the no park hopping (which I understand) and not visiting other resort restrictions, we might be skipping it this year.  We will have to wait and see.

For those who have said that they are in for the Defeated Creek GG, could you please let us know if a certain weekend works best for you or if a weekend is out because you already have plans. Typically the GG has been in September, but would anyone object to possibly the first weekend in October? I am not sure if that would work with AL and TN  Fall breaks, but thought I would just mention that as a possibility.

That weekend is a no go for us.

Hard to believe, but it’s already getting close to the time to book sites. Typically this gathering has occurred during one of the weekends in September. Let’s start talking possible dates.

We are up for a weekend - We have already penciled in the same general time frame - just waiting for the date

Ahhh... keep in mind, that if you want to dry camp, that never fills up as it's just in the standard parking lot.  We really enjoyed being right there.

We walked through the GD area.. but don't remember an "owner's tent".

We were at the Fort on Sunday!  Snagged a spot for 5 nights; it was so nice to be back.  Crazy that we missed you at both places.

Can't believe we missed you guys too - we checked in on Sunday and left on Saturday

    Mercy!

Guess we should have done a GG at the show!  LOL

Did you dry camp?  We were in the lot, Thursday and Friday night.  Had planned to stay Saturday night as well... but snagged a spot at the Fort.

We did't we stayed at a campground about 10 minutes away.  When we made the decision to go, the fairgrounds were already full.   Did you guys go to the Grand Design owner tent?We thought we saw you guys on Sunday at the Fort, we were riding the golf cart our of overflow while waiting on our site.

We too were at the show... sorry we missed you!

We were at the show too.  Fort this week.
We got to ride Rise of the Resistance. It was such a great ride. However - frustration ensued that day. We got in the park at 7:08am and were boarding group 78. Great. By 3:00 they were only on group 30 something. When our group number got closer we headed to the park. At 6:30 they were boarding our group. At 7:15 the ride closed. ☹️  We were given a fast pass for the next day.  We returned Thursday and scanned in with a specific cast member and bypassed the queue and went straight on the ride. We figured we would be standing in line again so we were pleasantly surprised. Fantastic job on the ride in our opinion.

Have any other Fiends booked sites? Looks like there is only 1 W/E/S site left from this original list I posted.

Our friends who were with us last year,  Tim & Vicky, will be on  site 53.   She has tried getting in fort fiends but her email wasn't cooperating.

Just curious - you used a refillable "chipped" mug at other resorts other than where you purchased it? Did you only use it for hot drinks or iced tea only or did you also use it for soft drinks?  Here's the big question, was this before the age of "chipped" mugs? We love to resort hop and this tip would sure save a lot of money!

you can use the resort mugs at any on property Disney resort for a refillable drink.  I used mine for soft drinks all the time.  If I know we will be at a different resort, I take the mug with me!  The fort doesn't have Pink Lemonade so if we go to Port Orleans I definitely take my mug for pink lemonade.

  9. Just found this - thought some might find interesting

    https://wdwnt.com/2018/09/update-rafikis-planet-watch-at-disneys-animal-kingdom-will-reopen-spring-2019/

Guests will be able to learn more about conservation and Disney’s animal programs after all.

Disney confirmed today that Rafiki’s Planet Watch’s closure will in fact be temporary rather than permanent, and the area and Wildlife Express Train will reopen in Spring 2019. This will allow time for an “extensive refurbishment”, where Disney is expected to rework the area’s offerings to appeal more to today’s guests.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch’s last day of operation is scheduled for Saturday, October 20th, while the meet-and-greets are expected to close tomorrow, September 29th. We will provide updates as the story develops.
