  1. OK, here's one for you. You said the buses stop running when the park is completely empty. Exactly HOW do they determine that there park is completely empty of guests? That seems like an impossible task.

Yeah...are there bathroom and store sweeps? Does transportation get a call saying to call it quits? What happens if someone is missed?

  2. OK I know one of the answers.

Are there official names for colors used when painting things at WDW? Like the auto companies do...create unique colors for Disney?

The back ground colors to almost all things Disney are...... Blend in Brown and Go Away Green, anyway thats what they were called when I was working on the structural drawings for Port Orleans resort in 1989.

    Neat!

  3. Honest Lou, these were from my own little head....really...no kiddin'...

Remember, I'm trying my best to escape from thinking about surgery this weekend, so I'm letting my mind wander as FAR as it wants to go. :)

Ok, the warm and fuzzy question WAS a little pinch of cuteness towards you. (I'll have my fryin' pan ready for the eggs)

  4. (deep breath in)

How many fingers are on the inside of Mickey's glove?

Are all clocks at all parks run on electricity? If so, how do they get reset when there is a power outage? Or does the emergency power kick on and keep 'em going? Does someone have to physically change the times...or is it done elsewhere? How many clocks are there?

I know at AKL, plants are "recycled" to feed the animals, what happens to the decorative plants after being removed? Do any get salvaged?

Are there official names for colors used when painting things at WDW? Like the auto companies do...create unique colors for Disney?

Are bus drivers in charge of cleaning gum, trash, seats, etc. after a run or is there a crew to take care of graffiti and gum?

What is the average life span of a bus at WDW? Mileage?

How often (and when) are the docks sealed at the Fort and other dock areas?

Is there a probationary period for CMs who have received a poor evaulation? Is there an evaluation?

How often are the presidents dusted and greased at MK?

If a guest wanted to hold a special party at Disney and invite extra family to a restaurant, do all guests have to buy a one-day pass to get to eat? Or are we only able to eat at a restaurant outside of a park?

    What size are Goofy's shoes?

Has there ever been a birth of a baby on Disney grounds? If so, how many times? Any in MK?

How warm and fuzzy are bus drivers required to be?

  5. ...save seeds from an orange from a tree near our site...took them home, planted and cared for them (In MICHIGAN!) for over a year. Now, the little saplings wait patiently to return to the fort with us this Christmas....

...oh yeah, AND...the fort inspired my DH to bring home an anole found in a crate that was shipped to his work in January (to, yup, MICHIGAN!)...enjoying her new tank, warming light, and food, our little "Belle" patiently counts down the days until she gets to enjoy retirement years at the fort...

  6. Okey dokey, I'm all caught up. :yay:

Your pictures are wonderful! I love the shots of WS, particularly the topiaries. Why the dislike for Snow White, Dave? Is there some horrible event in your past to cause such a nasty reaction to this sweet, young girl who is kind to the animals? ::)

This is twice now I've heard about 50's Prime Time. I'm taking it as a sign to go there next trip. Your desserts look yummy...

Waiting patiently for the next update....

  7. Ok, I may have seen this in the camping recipes section (not sure), but here's a really easy way to make lasagna...crock pot style!

    1. Pour enough spaghetti sauce to cover the bottom of the crock.

    2. Break and lay raw lasagna noodles to fit in rows on top.

    3. Mix ricotta, mozzarella, italian spices in bowl and spoon a thin layer on top. (I'm thinking for whole cheese amount, mix 1 cup each...really, whatever you usually use is fine)

    4. Pour another layer of sauce.

    5. Top with a spinach layer, if you want, here....or a layer of browned sausage or beef...or both!

    6. Break and layer noodles again.

    7. Repeat layers as high as you wish. :). I do a total of 4 or 5.

    8. On the top of all layers, pour more sauce and sprinkle the last of the cheese...adding more mozzarella on top.

    9. Cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours. (your times may vary depending on cooker, thickness)

This is a scrumptious meal! Easy to make and very moist. Just add garlic toast and wine...enjoy!'n
