Yes it is packing up wet stuff is not fun but, I think I would of felt worse if it was sunny and 80.
The weather matched your mood.

Thanks for reading along.
Thanks for writing your memories.

Finally took time to read the rest of your story(so far). I'm glad you had a good time and sorry it was cold. Question...did you try taking a hot shower to get into bed already warm?
That's my trick, of course, depending how far away from comfort station your camp is you could get too cool just getting back to camp.

On the side of the road...with yet another broken weld! Flippin! That’s now two (total) broken spring leaf brackets, on two different rigs.
Good grief 🤦♀️😥
Not a good thing for this company. Wonder how many other people have this experience with these rigs?
Hope you are no longer on the side of the road and somewhere safe.

Love those little T@Bs. The more you camp the quicker it will be to set up and close it down. Of course you already know that

Sounds like you are moving right along. Hope it wasn't one of the cold and wet nights.

That's a shame. We haven't been for quite a few years now (since before they totally changed up the menu and jacked the prices WAY up), but up to that point it was some of the best steak we'd had anywhere.
Our local hangout T-Bones is also one of the best steak places around. It's a small NH chain, with a few places throughout the state, luckily one 5 minutes from my house. On top of really high quality meat, they know how to cook it perfectly no matter how you like it. It's the only place I'll actually let my incredibly picky mother (who likes her steak so rare it's barely stopped mooing) order beef when we go out to eat.
Reminds me of my mother too. She liked it warm, like sliced off the cow and run over a candle flame..

Good start Robin, glad the weather was good for you.

The ice maze sounds like fun.

Poor kids. Life lessons in a tent. Set up looked fine, did you figure out why it leaked?

I agree with Ivy, looks cozy and homey. Looking forward to the "rest of the story" .

I haven’t been to a Perkins restaurant in years.
It would definitely be less expensive than eating at a WDW restaurantWhere exactly is it at?
It is in the shopping center across from Disney in Lake Buena Vista. I think the center is called Crossroads, brain not working at remembering so well these days. There are a lot of restaurants located there. Also the remaining Goodings grocery store. As you are facing it, Perkins is on the left with the big American flag flying. Good breakfasts and tasty lunch and dinners also. Prices not too bad.

The Perkins near by serves a good breakfast. Their pancakes are my favorite.

Good luck and have fun!!

See... I didn't think they would. Mom and dad want to do a family DCL trip next year, with a few days before/after at the Fort. I need to find out if they'll let us keep our rig there.
Get it in writing.

A few ruining it for everyone. ☹️

Thanks to Travisma we bought one of these passes and it helped us on our trip to New England. We had not heard about it before reading the news here. YAY fortfiends!
-
Just read through the reviews of RVers who stayed there. Sure sounds like fun.
I hope your trip is not cancelled because of their mistake about pricing.
-
Does not sound legal to me.
Too bad they didn't have correct up-date for prices, BUT that is not your fault.
They should honor your $40 per night reservation.!
-
Bill and I had a good time also. Thanks to whoever gave us the advice about burning the gas stove and water heater to get a 'bubble' out of the gas line. Our fridge ran great on gas or electric after that.

And another thing about those bags.....who thought that was a good idea? I'm pretty sure pooing in a bag is a 2 person operation even for the most flexible human. They should have put in some miniature bomb bay doors in the floor....."look out below"!

Thanks and no prob with 'late' reply as I am just now seeing it

How do they load wheel chairs, etc? Or do the cars stop long enough to load strollers, etc?

Well late last night I was able to snag 26-29 in a premium ...called today to ask for adding 26th first to my existing reservation .. the very helpful and candid reservation rep said it wasn’t available to add just the 26 but went on to say it didn’t make sense because he was able to get a new reservation like I already got the night before .. so before he did that I advised him I had another reservation which he just saw at same time ... he said good ..told me to please hold on and he would contact his guest service team and combine them .. asked me if I wanted to add the deposit from last night to my other reservation and I said sure .. well after about 10 mins on hold he came back on and said it was all done .. so we are all set
woo hoo
now to get my letter typed up requesting our specific sites we like and fax it 10 days prior ... hopefully we get as our new grand design we just bought 2020 gd transcend 31 rls is a big one and I know the sites that will be best for the 36ft plus our long bed truck
Congratulations, would be great if we could ask for him and not just get next in line.
Short but sweet!
