  1. A lot of parents are buying the umbrella strollers, using them in the parks and evidently just leaving them behind when they head home.

I say this because every so often a bunch of the strollers show up at the Sharing Center in Longwood, FL and can be bought for very few dollars.  Also selfie sticks, tho I haven't seen them as much lately.  Maybe the word is out?

I'm sure this is not the only used stuff store that benefits from WDW.

I also use a scooter at times, don't need one daily, but can not stand and walk all day, also near 80 myself. I bought my own, they are fairly cheap if bought used and the batteries are not expensive. You can get a good one for around $300 and a set of batteries are less than a $100 delivered to your house, making it cheaper than renting a couple of times. So I do not have any objection to anyone using one if they need it, but I have seen young healthy people renting them just so they don't have to walk and have seen kids being pushed in rented strollers who were healthy and old enough to walk all day. We use to take our grandkid when they were younger 3-4 years old and they walk with us until we would leave the park. So I agree, legitimate users should be able to use scooters, but if not a legitimate user they should not be able to rent a scooter. Just my opinion.

    YES!

    Exactly.

The problem isn’t the scooter or the stroller. It’s the people who operate them.

Wouldn't it be nice if WDW had cast members who could stop and educate the rude people, and take away the rented item if they didn't start being nice.

But that will never happen  $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

There was a great FB post (I tried to copy it to here but it didn't work) about this project with a couple of photos.

One was a picture of a Kermit doll floating belly up with this caption

"We all knew the draining would have an effect on the wildlife but this is too much.  While walking over the bridge this evening I spotted Kermit belly up in the shallows.  It appears he croaked.  Keep the Muppet Family in your thoughts!"

    :bravo:

  5. Every time I go to one of the parks I feel like my invisibility spell is working overtime.  Yes I played D & D 35-40 years ago 😉

Walking humans, strollers and EVCs and scooters seem not to see me.  Very annoying but I have learned to keep an eye out for them.

Do you remember the old strollers Disney rented?  They were wonderful for children, would lay back flat so a child could really get a good nap.  Find a shady spot and have a sit down till said child woke with his/her engine recharged.  BUT when the leg rest was extended and the person pushing didn't care or wasn't watchful of legs in front of the stroller OUCH.  I quickly learned to stay away from them.

My problem now seems to be not being seen.  I run into that problem a lot of places, not just parks.  People have gotten very rude IMO. 🙄

It's a pretty interesting rule.  I don't understand the reasoning behind it, but I'm not a hard core fan of football.  That was a fun game to watch, though.  My husband gets aggravated with me because, while I do want my team to win, I'll cheer for ANY good play I see.   Birmingham did have some good plays!

One of the other interesting changes, that you see when you watch on TV, is that you do not miss any of the game due to commercials.  They split the screen, so the game is still televised on the left side of the screen, and the commercials play on the right side of the screen.  I kind of like that.  The game goes much quicker than an NFL game.

    What a good idea!!

Will be back up in the 70's almost 80 starting tomorrow here in Tampa.  It's been the high 60's low 70's the last couple of days after our deep freeze last week of low 40's a couple mornings.  Brrrr

PS, I had a bandanna on Sunday doing yard work, because i was sweating so bad...

Saw an 82 temp in the car today.  Thought about washing the car, might take a nap instead.

We bought 3 regular (?) passes for both parks and one gold, so we could get the free parking.  We have 4 trips planned for this year.  We tried to make it up for Christmas last year (because it was included in the pass), but it just didn't work out with our schedule.

Kettle corn... I'm thinking a little healthier than the cinnamon bread :))

Remember Nacole, cinnamon is good for your health 😋

If you look at the $1949 ticket differently, it's only $5.34 a day, the cost of a Starbucks.

I bet a lot of people spend more than $5.34 a day on coffee or lunch, or a beer or two.

That's how Disney bean counters justify the cost!

Ha.... Disney should hire you ;)

Yes! Work at Disney, salaried is best, then you can 'get in free' most of the time.  There are block out dates. .  But even hourly cast members get free entry.  With guests it's not as often.

Of course the pay is less than you are probably use to receiving. 🙄
