I was the cart behind him, his center flag was so high, he hit the trees at the the end of the road near the 100 loop. We thought someone crashed!
There was a lot of music being played.
Hope no one was hurt. Good on the music, 'cause what's a parade without music?

2 horses, 1 marching band and 1 uni-cycle rider and many, many carts. Some decorated to the nines and others not so much, but looked like all were having fun.
Did any of the carts have marching or patriotic music playing?
My favorite cart was the one with the flags of the Marines, Navy, Army and Coast Guard.
Jen, thanks for the photo of the carts all lined up in the big group waiting to start.

I shop at that Publix and see people filling carts with food that has been ordered.
They might deliver, but also it's put on shelves near checkout to be picked up.

Congratulations for this newest trip to Alaska. It's on my bucket list.

That brings back memories.

The problem is that Disney is hurting families. That is exactly the opposite of what Walt had in mind when he build the parks.
Walt also wanted a place for children that would be safe from people who have drunk too much.

note to self, make enough for Jedi

I hope so, getting green light that is.
Nice about the black mark on the rude woman's dress, hope it was hard to clean. Maybe a little reminder to not be so pushy.

It just returned in California Adventure for a limited time.
I like it better than WDW's.

This is part of an article from Yahoo. I like the sound of this.
Richard Bilbao – Senior staff writer, Orlando Business JournalJun 11, 2019, 12:17pm EDTWalt Disney World is tapping into its animation roots to enhance what guests can do at its theme parks.
The theme park announced part of its upgrades at Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will include a new experience at the Conservation Station. The Animation Experience will allow guests to learn how animals inspired Walt Disney and his animators to make realistic characters in Disney films.
The new Animation Experience at Conservation Station helps guests learn how Walt Disney and his animators used animals as inspiration for his films.
The Walt Disney Co.
Here's more from the Disney Parks Blog:
In honor of our celebration of Disney’s “The Lion King,” we’ll be launching The Animation Experience at Conservation Station, offering our guests the opportunity to learn how live animals have inspired some of the most iconic characters from this beloved “tail.” You’ll learn more about some of the animals who call our park home and then have the chance to create a personalized piece of Disney art through an instructor-led animation class. As you’d expect, some of your favorite characters from “The Lion King” will be the stars of The Animation Experience, which will start when Rafiki’s Planet Watch reopens on July 11. Come learn how to draw Simba, Zazu, Pumbaa, Timon and more. Each session will be different so be sure to visit often to complete the collection. Disney FastPass+ Service will be offered for the experience, and you can make those selections starting later toda
Not all theme park experiences have to be rides to intrigue guests. Some visitors enjoy educational activities as well as those that give them unique moments with their family.
"We are excited to welcome guests back to greet and hug the animals at Affection Section, catch a glimpse of medical procedures at our veterinary treatment window, learn how our animal care experts prepare meals for and care for the park’s animal residents and more," wrote Dr. Scott Terrell, director of animal and science operations at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, via the blog.
Disney has been investing in its parks during the past decade. Animal Kingdom received its largest expansion to date with the opening of Pandora: The World of Avatar in 2017.
The addition may not be as large as Disney's other major new attractions such as Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which will debut in Disney's Hollywood Studios in August, but small upgrades also keep theme parks fresh for fans. That translates into visitation boosts for the region's $70 billion tourism industry, which last year drew a record 75 million people to town.

I think the parks usually get closed because the parking lots are full. At least in bygone days that was the system.
-
Well that was a scary night for you.
-
WOW! Congratulations.

Usually the fireworks at MK are set off on the 3rd and then again on the 4th.
But don't know if that is still true this year.
-
I hope you slept well, but with that last sentence...hum?
You got a lot done in your time there, good idea to eat outside of the park, gives you money for other stuff.

This photo reminds me of an Amtrac engine coming from South Florida pulling into the Orlando station many years ago. It was worse than this bus. Have no idea how the engineer could see out his window. At least he had tracks to follow.

It depends on where you are in Florida. They have been pretty thick this year in places. Season is winding down until September.
I would have cleaned that windshield a whole lot sooner. Makes me nervous not to be able to see clearly, they couldn't have had a good view of the sides of the road.
Also, they let the peroxide sit on the glass a while but with just the water the scrubbing started as soon as the water hit the window. I know the bugs are easier to remove early in the morning if we had a good dew the night before.
What is Purple Power? As a good fiend I feel I should know that.

It was. Your coach is very nice looking.

We had to add TP holder and towel racks also. Weird way to 'save' money not putting those in to start with.
