My favorite picture so far.......thanks for sharing. Your Mama looks so happy. Glad she's having fun!

Oh and there was a stink about the image some years ago. It was considered inappropriate by some people.

I hate to burst the bubble of all the Starbucks lovers, but I have some very disturbing news to share.
I just mentioned this in my most recent trip report, but since there may be folks reading this thread who don't read trip reports, I'll share it here.
You see this sign? :
What's with the two tails on that mermaid?
Have you ever heard of a mermaid with two tails?
Neither had I.
So I googled it.
Turns out that is no mermaid.
It's a satanic image.
I'm not lying- check it out.
Stay away from the Main Street Starbucks!
TCD
I don't mean to question the wisdom of the great TCD ;D but it's actually a Melusine or water spirit/goddess/nymph; I recognized it from a book I have here at home. It may be pagan but not satanic. Her image has been vilified since she was part serpent and that may be the reason you found info saying it's satanic.

That makes some sense. But then why don't they call the Tall "Dodici", and the Grande "Sedici"?
And let's not forget the "rotolo di cannella schifoso".
Great, now we're gonna need a translator just to get coffee..... :banghead:

Toilet paper is optional, especially at the Fort with the abundance of leaves. Check with me first to verify the safety of the leaf.
:rofl2:

Jen reminds me of the folks that buy LOUD toys for OTHER people's kids :rofl2: :rofl2:

There is almost nothing Walt Disney about the Disney Channel. Once the toddler stuff is done and Phineus and Ferb are off there is no redeeming programs. I wish they showed more of the old cartoons or the movies
I agree. The cartoons on now are C.R.A.P. Were they drunk when they came up with these ideas? The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, Annoying Orange............etc. etc. There's nothing remotely entertaining in any of these. What happened to cartoons like Scooby Doo and Jonny Quest? I don't let Nikki watch most of the new stuff out there. Thank goodness she loves cooking and science shows (oh and Monster Jam-Grave Digger is da man she says)

Loved your report. Can't wait to read another!!

That PB Brownie Sandwich at Earl of Sandwich looks yummo. My Nikki would definately love that. She's a peanut butter nut.

Those were the days?
Oh, I just meant that I was YOUNGER and things were more simple, yadda yadda yadda.....

Now THAT'S a surprise I could definately live with!! Ya'll have a great time!!

I bet that 1 million dollar bond  is making him wish he hadn't done it though.........

Ouch. Lou and I are approximately the same age, give or take a few years. But I don't remember when running water was a big deal. Color TV, yes. And I remember when my grandparents got a bathroom. It was so nice not to have to use the outhouse.
I HATED using an outhouse when I was a kid. My great gran had one and my wicked stepmother's parents had one. I was always scared of falling in. Of course, the hiney was much smaller back then. :flush2: :rofl2: The stepmother's folks only had spring water, so we had to carry that too, hence the wicked stepmother reference. We were young (3rd grade and younger) and it was so slippery. My great gran had an old-fashioned long handled pump. We also lived in a house (my grandparents and me and my sister) where the well was enclosed on the back porch and we had the wheel/pulley thing with a bucket. And while I'm reminiscing, we also used the old fashioned barrel shaped washer with the ringer at the top and a REAL washboard. I got my fingers caught in the ringer once.....I just HAD to find out if it hurt. :rofl2: And YES, it did! Those were the days....(but I'm still glad I've got running water and an indoor potty).
Still enjoying the report!!

Wow! Loved looking at all these old pictures. We didn't get to WDW until 2005 so seeing these was a real treat for me! Thanks for sharing them!

I love rice pudding but I have to leave out the raisins 'cause nobody likes 'em other than me.

The same applies to here in southern VA. That's just how my Gran made it except she made her own meringue. I prefer the whipped cream though. :D It still looks yummy though.

Wanted to eat here our last trip but somehow didn't get around to it. I have 2 questions:
1- the slaw- is there raw onions in it?
2- the onion rings- how well are they cooked?
I only ask because no one wants to sit near someone gagging while they eat and if I eat a raw onion or undercooked onion (as is often the case in the onion rings that I get) that's what I do.
That said, those onion rings look mighty tasty!
