  1. Hope this in in the right spot. Unfortunately, we're not going to make it to the Fort this year. I've just got off the phone with Disney cancelling our reservation. Thought I'd run over here real quick and post it. Hopefully someone here can use it. Details: Check In: Wednesday, December 3, 2014 Check Out: Tuesday, December 9, 2014 Room Type: Tent or Pop-Up Campsite Good luck if you want it or need it! :D
  2. I'm Mo; just wish I could afford to go every year. :D
  3. My favorite picture so far.......thanks for sharing. Your Mama looks so happy. Glad she's having fun!
  4. Oh and there was a stink about the image some years ago. It was considered inappropriate by some people. http://www.propagandamatrix.com/articles/may2008/150508Starbucks.htm
  5. I don't mean to question the wisdom of the great TCD ;D but it's actually a Melusine or water spirit/goddess/nymph; I recognized it from a book I have here at home. It may be pagan but not satanic. Her image has been vilified since she was part serpent and that may be the reason you found info saying it's satanic.
  6. Jen reminds me of the folks that buy LOUD toys for OTHER people's kids :rofl2: :rofl2:
  7. I agree. The cartoons on now are C.R.A.P. Were they drunk when they came up with these ideas? The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, Annoying Orange............etc. etc. There's nothing remotely entertaining in any of these. What happened to cartoons like Scooby Doo and Jonny Quest? I don't let Nikki watch most of the new stuff out there. Thank goodness she loves cooking and science shows (oh and Monster Jam-Grave Digger is da man she says)
  8. Loved your report. Can't wait to read another!!
  9. That PB Brownie Sandwich at Earl of Sandwich looks yummo. My Nikki would definately love that. She's a peanut butter nut.
  10. Oh, I just meant that I was YOUNGER and things were more simple, yadda yadda yadda.....
  11. Now THAT'S a surprise I could definately live with!! Ya'll have a great time!!
  12. I bet that 1 million dollar bond  is making him wish he hadn't done it though.........
  13. I HATED using an outhouse when I was a kid. My great gran had one and my wicked stepmother's parents had one. I was always scared of falling in. Of course, the hiney was much smaller back then. :flush2: :rofl2: The stepmother's folks only had spring water, so we had to carry that too, hence the wicked stepmother reference. We were young (3rd grade and younger) and it was so slippery. My great gran had an old-fashioned long handled pump. We also lived in a house (my grandparents and me and my sister) where the well was enclosed on the back porch and we had the wheel/pulley thing with a bucket
  14. Wow! Loved looking at all these old pictures. We didn't get to WDW until 2005 so seeing these was a real treat for me! Thanks for sharing them!
  15. I love rice pudding but I have to leave out the raisins 'cause nobody likes 'em other than me.
  16. The same applies to here in southern VA. That's just how my Gran made it except she made her own meringue. I prefer the whipped cream though. :D It still looks yummy though.
  17. Wanted to eat here our last trip but somehow didn't get around to it. I have 2 questions: 1- the slaw- is there raw onions in it? 2- the onion rings- how well are they cooked? I only ask because no one wants to sit near someone gagging while they eat and if I eat a raw onion or undercooked onion (as is often the case in the onion rings that I get) that's what I do. That said, those onion rings look mighty tasty!
  18. We were in a cabin in 2008 too! :jumpforjoy: It was our 1st trip to the Fort and we loved it so much we returned in 2011. We're returning for a 3rd trip but not until 2015. *so far away-sigh* We want to try out a 5th wheel next time. Best of luck and I hope you have a great stay! Oh and :welcome2:
  19. Oh no............please continue. I love reading trip reports. It's the next best thing to being there.
  20. Loved the Andy Griffith Show and your TR! :dropjaw: Well, after seeing the pics, I've not had one like that. My poke chop sammiches usually consists of poke chop + 2 slices of bread :rofl2:
  21. This was my FIRST Troll Report and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. The pictures were great too. I too have typed a lot only to have it disappear on me so now I always type out everything on a Word document and then copy and paste it to where I want it. Saves a lot of retyping. I found myself laughing quite a bit at your expense. *sorry* :rofl2: I'm afraid had my husband and I experienced what you did at the Contemporary that he wouldn't have gotten off so easy. I can just imagine the look on your face when you heard that 'click'. :rofl2: Your description of each experience was so detail
  22. Sorry I'm late..........Loving your report so far. Your kids are adorable! Are the girls twins?
