  1. Can you see a pit bull, Mastif, or great dane running around the GF? What is Disney thinking? Pets do not belong in Disney Hotels. NO ONE loves your pet like you do.  I am with others here in thinking that there are many pet owners out there that should not be.                 I loved my dog, but would not think it would be a vacation for her to be cooped up in a hotel room all day and half the night while we are at the parks.  We brought her on our first trip to the Fort and she tried to eat our bus.  She was not happy to be away from home AND alone all day. After that she stayed home with our Brother's family and proceeded to eat all the pancakes they were silly enough to leave on the counter.. :clint:

  2. Great Pictures!  Why would they even make Goofy underwear like that?  Just wrong. Giselle wins it for me, that girl wears that pretty dress perfectly! Awesome!  Not to mention that is my fav movie!  The box head kid was good too, and your right it did look weird on that on picture.  I could not see the cruella costume you thought was good, I must be blind.

Nice update! Thank you so much  :clint:

  3. This shot was taken from the same place, but I'm turned a bit so you can see how few people bother to walk up to this area of the ship to watch the actual sail away.  People are like sheep.  They're all crowded in a little space mid-ship on Deck 12.  Dummies:

I am still laughing at that comment! I LOVE your trip reports, and it is a uplifting distraction during a hard week for me. THANKS!

  4. Hello,

Thanks to Jason @ Mouse Counselors we are able to make our annual trip to our holy land, Fort Wilderness.  It was too much for me to organize a cabin and campsite this year with no help, after almost giving up looks like we are heading South in November!Thank you Jason!  :clint:

My Mom has opted for a cabin vs The Wilderness Lodge as she did last time to be closer to us ( good for us as we mooch her cabin) and I was hoping to get her close to us in loop 1100 but I fear there are no handicap cabins close to a loop.  I saw a photo of a bathroom in a regular cabin, and she can probably make do but there is only one little bar for her to hang onto and it is not a handicap bar and that worries me. Plus it is low.We can bring a chair for her to sit/hang on to. Having her close to us vs all the way in cucamunga would be worth it.

Does anyone know where the handicap cabins are? By any chance is there one close to a camping loop? And does anyone happen to have a picture of a handicap bathroom? I have looked all over and cannot find the answer to those questions, my apologies if someone already posted that info.

    Thank you in advance!

  5. Hello all,

I am trying to plan a trip to our Holy Land with my Mother who will be staying in a cabin. She is elderly and we need to be closer, but she likes her own space and we like her to have her own space. We would like to come with our bus and have a site that is somewhat close to her cabin. If I were to dream, within eyesight/golf cart driving would be great!   I know it is a tall order, but have any of you done it?  I have faxed loop requests before and have had great luck (We love 1100 loop) but what about cabins? Any suggestions?

My thought was to request her cabin to be in loop 2100 as I see cabins close by....while we request 1100......    We are going in November if availability is there.

Thank you very much in advance for any ideas.  We SO need another trip to the Fort!

  6. Sorry to jump in so late, but I just have to say your daughters video was awesome! maybe someday she can make a video for us as I am completely hopeless in that department.

On a disappointing and quite disturbing note : Tinkerbell. WTH???? How can they use a dude as Tinkerbell? Oh the horrors. I am afraid I will never look at that as magical again. Big fail on Disneys part. WOW. That will haunt me all week, now.

Great trip report and awsome family!

  7. Big Mistake. I go to Disney to get away from the normal. And Starbucks, although our local one here supports open carry and that is always fun-has probably the crappiest burnt tasting coffee. Not to mention overpriced crappy burnt tasting coffee. And their treats have the feel of pre-made sara lee junk. I walk in there and I immediately feel like a sucker. not happening. My Keruig makes 10 time better coffee.

I hope this is a trend that does not continue. Someone needs to contact that phil guy when he is done posing for oil portraits and tell the Disney higher ups to quit messing with a good thing. Keep messing with the Master's brilliant idea's and the magic will soon fade. Arrrrggggg. Beer in the kingdom, Starbucks, whats next? A freaking Waffel House?

  8. THAT'S IT? .......................................................................OH the hoomanity!

When are you going again? Or TCD? I think we should all get together and fund both of your visits just so you can keep us poor folks who are in constant Fort Withdrawl, up at 3am, and really should be working instead of dreaming, FULLY UPDATED with beautiful pictures and funny commentary.

How about I buy you and TCD that bullet proof Golf Cart to protect you from flying objects from pissed off wait staff or unsuspecting striped labamba shorts wearing park-goers, or whomever else you rile up? We can leave it in the overflow parking lot for like-forever because there really are no rules there and we will have it fully outfitted with camera mounts and automatic weapons that can be deployed as needed. Something like this.....

    Deal?

Great report, thanks for sharing your time.
