Vikings are a great machine. Just don't break it down in Indianapolis, IN because if you didn't buy it from them they won't fix it. And all four or five shop are owned by the same person.

I have done a lot of sewing. My sister-in-law and I use to run a business. In a 2 year time period, I made over 2,500 pillows, baby saying embroideried and sewed fabric on edge and backed and stuffed. I have embroideried over 3,000 shirts, jacket, blankets, and anything that I could put embroidery.

I have heard and seen a lot of quilters use Janome machines. The big ones and even the little jem.

If you are looking for older, I have an older Bernina 930 that has some deco stitches and is all metal(heavy thing). I mostly use Brothers and have had very good luck running the stuffings out of them.
