  1. my bernina is 28 years old and still sews great. and you will love all the bells and whistles.
  2. Vikings are a great machine. Just don't break it down in Indianapolis, IN because if you didn't buy it from them they won't fix it. And all four or five shop are owned by the same person.
  3. I have done a lot of sewing. My sister-in-law and I use to run a business. In a 2 year time period, I made over 2,500 pillows, baby saying embroideried and sewed fabric on edge and backed and stuffed. I have embroideried over 3,000 shirts, jacket, blankets, and anything that I could put embroidery.
  4. I have heard and seen a lot of quilters use Janome machines. The big ones and even the little jem.
  5. If you are looking for older, I have an older Bernina 930 that has some deco stitches and is all metal(heavy thing). I mostly use Brothers and have had very good luck running the stuffings out of them.

  8. We live in Manassas, Va for 2 months back in 2001. It's wasn't to rural back then. We lived 7 miles from Jim's work and it would take 25 minutes to get there. There was never a down time for the traffic. In Manassas, if the made 15 dollars an hour in pay you could get a one bedroom apartment subsidized for 1500 a month.
