  1. this sounds like a great idea, I'm afraid I'd disappoint you however, I'm not much on wine, in fact I dont even know if there is a vineyard around here, Boone's is about all I know, now if you wanna do a beer exchange I'm down! :rofl2: Regardless, we shall share a few beverages that week!

Judy, you could try here. My link

  2. My Dh does all the vacation cooking too. B) That is a TV below the cabinet. It swivels so you can watch it in the bunk room or outside.

The bathroom has a screen door on it and my thought was, I can just see someone sitting there, going to the bathroom with the screen door. People walking by, waving. :rofl2:

Oh that tv could be a blessing or curse depending on how you want to look at ...especially during college football season with my husband.

  3. Outside #2:

Outside with awning open and kitchen open:

When we first got our travel trailer we looked at some with the outside stovetop. DH and I both agreed that it was luxury that we did not really need. This outdoor kitchen combined with a few years of actual camping though are making me rethink things. Most of the time DH does the cooking when we are camping. Ok who am I kidding he does it all. For some reason my family doesn't like charcoal burnt food. :rofl2: I do help out with the prep work though. So, while he is enjoying the outdoors and getting to watch the kids play I am inside. With this it would be the best of both worlds. Oh and my dd was wondering (me too) what is that below the cabinet?

    Looking towards the front:

So my same dd who asked about what was below the cabinet noticed the door. Her comment, "You have to be sure to lock the door when you are in there."

My first thought was more along the lines of, Wow! no dirt tracking through the camper when someone has to run in really quickly to use the bathroom. Oh how the small details make me happy.

  4. This is sad what is even sadder is that they passed us going at least 80 and cutting people off then crashed about a 1/2 mile ahead of us. We were stopped for 2 hours on I-95 then had to turn around with the trailer in the and go south in the north lanes to get detoured. It really breaks my heart to see how much aggressive driving can rip a family apart. All I can say is wear your seat belts folks and SLOW DOWN there is no place that you need to get to that fast.

Wow! That is scary. I am going to add in a prayer of thanksgiving that you all are safe.

  5. We headed over to the big whale stadium to get a good seat for the whale show.

One thing that tells you that you aren't at Disney are these beer vendors right in the stadium:

You see those metal beer bottles?

    At Discovery Cove they're free.

    As many as you like.

    I'm not kidding.

How on earth did I miss this the first time I read this? Thank you Magic Bus for drawing my attention to it. Now I know exactly how I will convince hubby we should go to Sea World.:parrot:

As an aside every time my youngest dd sees this green bird on these boards she asks, "How come there is a dancing booger?" I guess it's time to get her eyes checked again. :rofl2:

Ok now back to my original comment (hey I hijacked my own comment I think you all are rubbing off on me.) Since we will already be in Florida of course I will then have to convince him that we may as well go ahead and visit Disney World and the Fort. I mean with it being so close and all.

  6. We saw a preview for the Dolphin Tales movie when we went to watch the Winnie the Pooh movie. We have it on our list of upcoming movies that we want to see.

I just realized that the Sea World in Florida is the only Sea World Park that I have never been to. We did give my son the option when he was about 4 years old if he want to go to Sea World or Disney World for a day. He chose to go to MIckey Mouse's house.

  7. True story! I'm living proof.. and they say it's just a worm.. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...

I told everyone when we moved here to Alabama that it was because they sold beer and wine at the grocery store. Going along picking up the bread, milk, egss and Pampers and then the next thing you know there's the beer and wine. May as well pick up some of that too. :rofl2: Good Catholic girl that I am.

Nine months later and my Pampers supply was then doubled.

In Maryland I had to go to a liquor store to buy the beer and wine.

  8. My aunt and uncle live near Dollywood. I took the kids one summer for a visit and ended up upgrading to season passes. That fall during the fall break from school we went back as a family. One of the nicest things that happened was as we were waiting in line to buy my husband a ticket (since he didn't go before) a man came up to me and gave me a ticket he was not using. He had an extra one and didn't want it to go to waste.

We love Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. I agree with the others about a future Grand Gathering there.

  9. I had friends who were planning trips for around Memorial Day. They were staying at non Fort resorts. I was over there reading their trip reports and remembering back to my own trip to Disney back in January 2010. Feeling nostalgic I decided to go over and read some trip reports on the camping board. I kept seeing all the messages about where is everyone and noticed many pictures missing. Being a middle child I tend take the role of peace maker and decided it was probably best not to ask any questions over there. So, I began a Google search and found you all.

I rarely if ever post over there. There is something about this board though that makes that impossible. I think for me it is the ease of it. All the forums tend to flow like normal conversations. Many times times you all have been just what I needed providing a smile or a laugh out loud moment.

  10. I KNEW my ears were burning! I kept putting off reading this trip report because I was so behind on it. Say, did you know that in some parts of the world they leave Santa a beer or even a whiskey (and no, it's not so much rednecks as folks in the UK and parts of Germany!).

We always leave a beer for Santa! We leave some milk too. He always seems to finish the beer and not the milk.:rofl2:
