Yep, I watch that one too. Hard core pawn. I often wonder if any of those customers see themselves on TV and are embarassed. Several have to come from the shallow end of the gene pool. :rofl2:

Outstanding show! Rick seems to know a little about everything! His breadth of knowledge is astounding. Just wonder how much is done via internet and editing. If none, it's even more impressive.

At The Fort - All Are Welcome

Ah come on, nobody is going to make any snarky comments like, "It's easy, the one that will ask for directions........" Seriously, your pictures are fantastic. Nice work. -

Cool pic of the bat box. I've heard those things consume an incredible amount of insects. -
OK TCD...back to regular programming. Sorry for the hijack. :)

Not that I have ever consumed alcohol myself :rofl2: (haha), but I might be able to offer some insight. I say "might" because I'm not sure if my memory is referencing a documentary from the History channel, or some guy telling me a story at a bar. In addition to the Egyptians, monks were one of the first brewers of beer. They carried a "church key" on the corded belt around their waist. In addition, I've been told that the corded belt is actually represented on the original cans of Budweiser. Specifically, inside the dark blue ring, above the word Budweiser. It kind of looks like a horse

Cool pic TCD. I can see this one getting referenced 30-40 years. Somebody brings up the distant memory of a train at The Fort. Next thing you know, they are referencing your photo journalism for undeniable proof. Nice work.

Lots of pics, creative narratives, and the Feb 2011 Real man of genius. It's like an intellectual smorgishboard (sp?). Now some new folks understand why TCD has attained TR Rockstar status.

Woo - Hoo.....with a capital WOO and a capital HOO. The man is back from a self imposed hiatus. You probably don't remember me from the old site, but it wasn't the same without your content. As someone earlier posted, "your TRs make me feel like I'm there." While I didn't get flushed, I got my hands slapped at the old place. I missed yours and FWGuy's farewell addresses (which bums me out quite a bit - I bet they were dousy's). Here's to the possible return of the "TCD Real Men of Genius" candidates. Glad you're back Dude!

A Camping Pet Question
caveat lector replied to ~Kristina~'s topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
It appears you've started down a path........a path that I wish someone would have enlightened me on before departure: 1) My daughter writes me a note about needing a puppy. 2) She never asks for anything, so Dad agrees to consider 3) I finally break down, shortly thereafter, our schnoodle Zeus arrives at his home 4) Realize that he is a member of our family, and thus receives same vacation rights as everyone else. 5) Buy a TT so he can enjoy Disney 6) Buy a bigger truck so Dad can enjoy Disney (eliminating a lot of the stress of getting there) My, that was one expensive note my daughter wrote -
Dole Whips

Never had a Dole Whip. Heard they are fantastic! Now, after all the pictures, I have a MONSTER craving. -
Great TR! You got to pick out your sight ala carte from a map. Awesome. Hope you ran out and bought a lottery ticket. That's some serious good luck. :)

Lets hope 1 week is not too long in a small camper.

Nice job on the "review" portion. I usually like the pics best, but you stuck a whole lot of info in that review. Thanks. -
A lot has to do with personal preference. I have a couple of kids, which is why I got the crew cab on my F150, and now my F250. Trying not to sound like a paid representative from FORD, but this thing rocks. It can haul ridiculous weights, yet I got a hand calc'd 20.4 MPG on an unloaded trip this weekend. The Turbo Diesel on this thing is awesome! Now I'm sure it's overkill for my 30 foot TT, but it's worth it to me. Again, it's just a personal preference thing.

Probably to my own detriment, I'm not going to worry about it. 50 weeks out of every year, I worry about the nickels and dimes. The other two weeks......well.......comfort and happiness rule the day. :rofl2:

Wow, great job and thanks for sharing. The colors around the lake are gorgeous.

[quote author=Avatab link=topic=908.msg As my Grandfather used to say: If it moves and it isn't supposed to, use duct tape. If it doesn't move and it's supposed to, use WD-40 and a hammer......    :) :) That is a wise man!

I can not camp without . . .

Sadly,I'm one of "those" people........my iPhone. Funny thing, using it to talk or text doesn't even crack the top 10 of things I use it for .
