We're Kerr Lake campers too! I've been camping there since I was a wee child.

For the last 5 years or so, we spend 2 weeks there in July. County line is our favorite campground but we have camped at Henderson Point, Kimball Point, and Hibernia.

I plan on writing another trip report starting in a couple of weeks....we are taking a "top secret" trip for my wife's birthday starting next Saturday.

Hey I'm a girl....a good cry is sometimes what it takes! The sheer JOY in Anna's face is enough to bring a tear. You have such a sweet family. I read your TR about Anna's adoption and I look forward to your next adventure. Thank you for sharing your journeys with us.

I completely feel your pain with others tagging along on your trip. My good friend and I ended up planning a Disney trip for the same dates and decided to spend some time together. I tried to set the ground rules before we left. We were there for 11 days on a campsite...they were there for 7 in a hotel and by the end they were on my nerves! She just never did understand that we had much more time in the World than she did and we didn't want to rush! We also had done Disney with a 2 year old and really weren't interested in doing it again. Never again will I plan a trip like that!
