  1. I don't completely disagree with you. The EWP does use ridiculous lights. And the music kinda SMB. But the whole experience of sitting on the beach watching it is awesome and has become such a good memory for my girls. Even better...we typically turn in pretty early our first night after traveling, and I love hearing that music while laying in bed. It means we've arrived. So...for those reasons I submit that the EWP does not SMB.

I agree completely! I remember watching it with my boys at several different ages. I think the sounds are what I remember most. I love waking up to the first Magic Kingdom boat whistle, hearing the MKRR whistle, laying in bed and hearing EWP and grinning the whole time because we're finally here, even the busses don't bother me. I'm sure I'm leaving out a few....

We also like to get on one of the boats and get out into Bay Lake for a good look at our surroundings.

Great report, thanks for giving us a peek at your vacation.

  2. We saw that tractor also. My hubby spent many years on one as a boy and has one very similar now. I know he's a happy man when he' s plowing or mowing something with his tractor.

I so wish we had stopped at Steph's site Saturday nite for the party. We didn't get in and set-up until late and were pooped!

I've enjoyed your report...thanks! It's also fun to read all the reports that weave around each other filling in the blanks!

  3. Yep...this past Sunday and on the way in. When we got there the first showing of the Electrical Parade was still going on, so the sidewalks were packed...I mean PACKED. A castmember saw us and said we could get to the other end of Main Street through "there". So we did and ended up on the other end. It was so crowded we just stood there. Once the parade was over, things thinned out a little and we moved closer to the street and the Rose Garden area to watch the show and fireworks.

We stayed that night until about 10:30. It thinned out some more after the second showing of the Electrical Parade, but not much. We had fast passes to BTMR and used those but the wait times were to long for most everything else. We wandered around a bit and looked in some of the nooks and crannies and walked down some pathways we didn't know existed. We always spend our first and last day in the Magic Kingdom and we were heading home the next day, so we were taking in all we could.

  4. Hi Steph! We rode by your site late Saturday night after we arrived, but the party looked like it was dwindling down....we were tired and had the boys so we didn't stop. I rode by Sunday evening, but didn't see anyone. Hate we missed you all. It looks like everyone had a wonderful time.

As I said in our emails, please Thank Jordan for his service!

  5. Believe it or not....I've never had a Dole Whip. That and Tonga Toast are on my list of things to try this trip.

I have however developed an affinity to Pineapple sherbet with Pineapple juice. Quite tasty, but I sorta doubt it's as tasty as a Dole Whip in the Magic Kingdom.

Looking forward to the rest of this report and hearing about New Years with the Fiends!
