  1. DS was none to happy either G. I am glad 88 made a run at the end. Good day for Hendrick.

Congrats to the 48 and Stef.

Shortly before Matt blew up, I pointed to the score tower and told Tony, I thought Chevy would be up there. At that time 4 yotas were at the top of the board. 20, 11, 15, 18. That didn't last long. And when Matt went, I told Tony that Kyle would probably be next. He complained of a vibration earlier and his temp was all over the board. Unfortunately this time I was right. Dang it.

Yea the Chevy engines were strong. Since Kyle was out, I listened to Jr at the end of the race. "Interesting" to say the least.

And I was impressed with Danica's showing. Surprised and impressed.

But next week will tell a lot about the cars and drivers.

On Sirius we were urged to believe the dirvers held back racing side by side since they don't have many cars. But, with the economy and all I can't blame them if this is the case. But they were able to "turn it on" with 40 to go.

  2. What Ray said. Be careful of the shop you buy in.

I've been told that the Cubans make good cigars, but some other countries have caught up.

My suggestion: Try many often! :clint:

And let me know what you think of any you try, please! I love good smokes.

I prefer maduros with a medium to strong smoke. What's your preference?

  3. Winghouse!!!!! :jumpforjoy :jumpforjoy :jumpforjoy

I must admit, when you suggested meeting you there last year, I was skeptical. Some of the local wing places we have tried while traveling have been meh. But Winghouse, GOOD! :jumpforjoy

Thanks for the info about the Rolex. If Tiny and I can get free in Jan next year, we may try it. Of course if Tiny goes, I won't be away from the track much.... :rofl3:

And if we go, we will be doing the 5K :clint:

  4. Best of luck!!!!!

And I understand you wanting to use your own vehicle and RV. Trust me, we just did a (less than week) trip tent camping without our RV...Boo. But we were only traveling ~400 miles one way. We did calculate that we were saving some $$$ by taking our car vs the RV mileage wise.

Sooooo, all that said, have you thought about renting a camper and still staying at the Fort? You could possibly drive something with better fuel economy and save some $$$ toward the rental. Might be less stressful. And possibly a quicker travel time to and from the Fort?

But once again, hope you enjoy!!!!! Welcome.

  5. Notice Trevor's fancy backpack...ok, it's mine he was carrying. Shocker, huh?

Waiting on a tram. (Genia! Look! Satan's swings!!)

While waiting they had a couple cars drifting. If you've never seen that, it's pretty darn cool.

Burning rubber, sideways through the turns....awesome.

Tell Alice if she wasn't in the way, you could have had two spawn butts in the same pic! :doublebeer:

    TURN THREE!!!!!!!!! :pope:

3-4 years ago, Marlboro had a drifting area set up outside turn 3. The "smokers" could become Malboro fans and actually ride with one of the drifting drivers. Oops, I didn't see cigerette smoker, so this CIGAR smoking chicka had a freakin blast drifting outside turn 3! Squeeled like a girl. I imagine like Jason on test track.

  6. Veggies and fruit looked amazing!! Unfortunately, we never made it back to get any. I told Trev after the races are over I'd like to go back and stroll the market for a day. It would really take a day to see it all.

I'm sure you know that the FM is the place to buy your NASCAR stuff at the best prices. We hit the track first afternoon we get there to pick up Tiny's event shirt, or to look at them. Then price things over there.

The whole first 3 years we were tent camping WITH transportation we didn't know about the FM. Learned of it after we got the RV. Some of the best asparagus and brussel sprouts were purchased there. And the pickle vendor is freaking GENIUS.

And now we know about the Wing House. My how our horizons have expanded.

Still thinking of renting scooters this year. Will see how the weather forcast is first.
