Don't you want to be in the running for the weekly Snarky Journalism award? :rofl2:
You best go track down a bus driver and find out......
Maybe I should ask the guy spraying down the sites... I'm sure he knows!:rofl2:
-
Why shut down the whole loop to redo only 2-3 sites? asphalt shortage?
I'm not even going to try to figure that one out.:rofl2:
-
It looks like they only redid 2 or 3 sites. The rest still have the same cracks in them.
-
Bad news guys and gals. Spoke with a couple of the demolition crew working the loop and they said nothing in size etc will be changed. They are only tearing out the old concrete and putting in new exactly the same. They said demolition should take about 1 week or so and then the crew will come in to level again with dirt. Then the concrete crew will be pouring. I asked if they had an ETA but he said he didn't know for sure. I then mentioned soeone wanted to stay there in about 3 weeks and he said it SHOULD be done. Of course a lot can change due to weather.

We're in the 200 loop and if they get done in the next week and a half, I'll post it. They will be pouring new pads. Haven't started yet though.
-
Just got back from the pool. They came around and check resort IDs at about 10:15 and gave us a wristband for there. Today's is a American Flag band, don't know if it will be different every day. So I guess it is real. You can turn off the BS meters now.:usa:

You gotta remember that a lot of the previous batch of FEMA trailers were never even used and are being sold on ebay for 3000 - 5000. What a waste of taxpayer's money. Yes they are basic and are park models but they sure are cheap.
-
Just thought I would throw this out there as misinformation was given out in another place who's name will not be mentioned. I faxed my site request in about 10 days early and I got a call saying the 100 loop will be closed for re-pouring the pads on June 4th. They asked what my next choices would be, so I chose and they said they would get me something I requested. In that other area, a possible CM said they do not look at requests as they are too busy. Obviously, they do and try to accommodate you. They actually took the time to call me.
Just another reason why The Fortfiends.net site is the greatest site out there.

We are not taking our motorhome to the Fort. It would cost $1400 just in gas, then we would have to rent a car while there for 2 weeks. Cheaper for us to rent the trailer then have our small car for local driving and a thousand dollars less in gas. The trailer isn't costing us that much, no where near. For shorter length trips we are renting rather than driving the motorhome.

We are usually there for Star Wars, just take it all in, the kids will love it and so will you.
We went to The flower festival last year. It was pretty cool with all the character designs topiaries. I took pictures of all of them.

I love that show too. I have been educated on some things for ebay. I would never have bought an old 7 up cooler for $35 till seeing that show...boy, am I glad I did....:rofl2:

Love the report! Hope I don't have to wait till monday for the next installment. I feel like at the end of each installment I hear "same bat time...same bat station!" hahahaha. Just wondering TCD...with all the backwoods places you manage to get into, have you ever run across some of the more dangerous creatures famous in Florida?

When we go in June I will do some Skyping with the computer and if anyone wants to see what's going on, just let me know what your skype name is and I can add it to the group for it. I'll just turn it on when we do something, like looping.....lol. Next best thing to being there...hahaha
-
We'll be coming in on Dec 2nd at about 8:30 at night. I'll have to make a run over to the fort to meet the INFAMOUS Doodlebug. I'll find out where you are and stop by.
-
I know it's not the fort but we are using DVC points and don't have to drive the moho for 8 days. we will however be checking out the Fort for decorations and other fiends. 1st week of dec anyone?
-
Don't forget to look for us up front in the premium loops. June 4 - 17. Purple flamingos and the sign will take you right to us. lol
-
July sounds good to me. Open to wherever.
-
When you gotta go...ANY bathroom is the best bathroom. :grpwelcome:
-
All I can find is that one of the people needs to have the premium, which I do and you can add two or more. Doesn't say if there is a limit or not. hmmm May have to get several of my kids together on it at once and try it. We have done 4 at once already but maybe I can get 10 or so. Any volunteers?
-
Don't we have enough incriminating evidence without the live link!
 :'(
Just don't do it in front of the camera... :rofl2:
-
I have skype, just kinda getting into it. I have the premium with group video so I can have multiple people skyping with me. I was thinking of doing this at the Fort showing whoever the nighttime water light parade or such. Does anyone know how many you can group skype with at once? Is this a possibility to give Fiends the Fort fix via the internet? Maybe even the GG's for those of us who will miss the July 4th GG. Is this feasible? I know as long as one of them has group, all in your groups can see it. Just thinking....

Well they ain't gettin' my purple flamingos, they're solar powered...lol
I saw some on ebay, I seriously want some sooooooo bad!
LTD has those purple flamingos that are really goofy looking and solar powered body for $13.95. I'll have 2 of those and 2 regular purple flamingos out along with the sign in June. Should be easy to spot me...lol

Does LeLynn RV have a website? I couldn't find it in 8 pages of Google, only their addy and phone plus some info. I was looking for seasonal and monthly rates.
