So if you stay on the grounds with bracelet but have an annual pass, will they attach the annual pass to the bracelet or will you still have to go the "special place" in the corner to get only your AP fastpasses? Just scheming.....

I just use a good old -fashioned piece of wood, either 1 inch or 2...lol

Get the important stuff done before you pop open the beer....lol
I can see the jacks being a problem. They should not be used to level it only stabilize it as you mentioned. I don't do that so I didn't think that way....lol. But, I can understand people doing it.
-
The video does say to level it first then raise it, then put down the jacks. I feel better by putting down the jacks so that it cannot move around while you are raising it. Those darn Coleman's wind and wind and wind, about twice as many as the Jayco. Lol I think the key is to make sure it's level first.

It would be interesting to see why they say to raise the roof first. I can't think of any reason. I know that the cables would be less likely to rub and wear if they are straight than leaning against a crooked shaft. The guides should also be lubed once in a while for just that reason too. Especially if they are telescopic.

That should work. Keep in mind to seal around the air conditioner too. It is a weak point with Coleman's. If it is the aluminum roof you are fortunate. The ABS roof is known to crack & crumble.
-
First thing up and last thing taking it down. It will keep it straight so there is less pressure on the guides as it goes up and down. You don't want any more pressure than there is already. Good idea to put some oil in there once in a while to keep it moving smoothly. Also on the crank and cable.
What are you getting?

I finally asked what those round things with the hole in the middle along the tree line going towards the Fort were. I was told they are African bee traps. I was told they haven't caught any here yet but there was a large number of them in the Tampa area. What I would like to know is why would Africanized bees be the only ones being coerced into the traps? Anybody else hear anything about these?

Interesting, but why am I not surprised?

Contacted the front office today in regards to their rules for documented service animals. The response from the Fort was that any service animal is allowed in any room on any property or any site in any camping situation. They request that they not be in a tent in a partial but will allow it. They also do not need to be crated at any time. Pop ups as well as any RV are okay anywhere with a service animal. It almost sounded like they were afraid to give any type of limitations in regards to it. I guess that means they are treated like guests.
So, it may be that you were seeing documented service animals. They are not just for the blind anymore. One could be a companion to keep someone calm. ...And Yes, even a pig can be a documented service animal.

I stopped by but didn't see anybody outside at your's or Ed's place. Maybe next time.

...and it's just fine to have 8, yes, count em, 8 people on a 4 person cart.

Yesterday, the front office said they were really full last night. They had 450 sites reserved. Ummm, don't they have like 783 sites? I wouldn't consider that full. In fact, most businesses would be panicking at little over 50% occupancy. I know 2 people that were able to get last minute reservations this weekend. Must be some messed up system.

Friday night the 20th and Loop 2000 still had several empty sites tonight. Wonder what that means?

One of our regular campers went online today and found a 3 night stay this weekend at the Fort! Must be all those cancellations opening up. Amazing!

Just got back from the Fort and
JoseJoey was there. I stopped by Aaron's site and the entrance to the loop was closed off with cones and a CM directing cars to go in through the exit.Aaron pointed that Joey was there to handle the problem that resulted in no water for the entire loop, including the CS. Joey was riding around in a GMmobile looking very managerial.
I found out two things about Joey. He does not appear to speak with an accent, that's always a good thing, and he works on weekends. Welcome to the world of camping. He's going to hate you guys after this.
They were doing the whole water thing two weeks ago in the 2000 loop then too. Hope it's fixed!

Wow! Somebody has the nerve to charge MORE than the Disney store?

We have considered Reflectix but our air conditioners all work pretty well even in direct sunlight. With the nature and time constraints we have with setting them up we have opted not to use them for now. If you have time to put them on it sure could help with the air use.

I'm afraid it doesn't keep it from coming back, just cleans it. If you don't have any stains on the inside, why bother?

Oh, and with the vinyl canvas, I never use a seam sealer. Has never been a problem. I saw a pop up that they sprayed a sealer on it and it left a wide discoloration where they sprayed it. Definitely took major value off the camper. Don't know what kind it was but the old saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it might apply.

Well you know all sites in the world of camping are level so they don't need to talk about that....lol
