Went to see it in person today. Excellent! Took about 160 pictures, which I now have to go through. I know I caught a couple of the Malifacent dragon breathing the fire out. Awesome parade. Classic yet edgy. Lots of movement and animation. Not everyone was joyful and cutsie. The villainous side was represented in different ways. A Must See.

It seems that the groups are generally not in the highest numbers (2060s). It should he a little quieter there. Aside from the buses.

To anyone who may be at the Fort soon.... if you have allergies, be prepared. The pollen count is unbelievable right now. Took down 2 campers and they were yellow on top.
-
I was driving out as they were driving in the front gate and they did come from the right. No way to know where from though.
-
Yes, there will be a lot of people there.
-
Not sure I would want to get into that.

.2 inches? You could run with less air in the tires....lol

A pick up truck is engulfed in flames and has caught the trees around it on fire at the stop sign by the check in entrance. Fire department just got there. Pictures later when I get home.

I knew something was up when I drove through this morning and saw 2-4 carts PER site. They were everywhere! I think I'll stay away.

That my Fiends is why we do what we do.

Uh Oh, gotta hear this one!

I took the firepit over to the family just down from you with the Toy Story theme and they were very appreciative of the leftover wood from Jason and Kelly. They had a roaring fire going when I went by last night. Thanks guys.

They have comfort stations for that.

With all the rain we have had, would anything even burn? lol

Just called the fort and they said they now only deliver to the group camping area. Wonder if we can get a different response when somebody else calls tomorrow? hahaha

Kinda like a cattle catcher on the old trains?

Heard through the grapevine that due to pressure on him from Disney, you may have to get your cart outside the gate someplace. I will try to verify this in the next few days.

So what your saying is this could be a new attraction listed at the Fort? Sounds good to me kind of like taking a chair and a cooler to the local boat ramp :rofl3: :rofl3:
You could take bets on whether they will hit the power stump, the garbage cans, the recyclables bin or maybe even a stray Truck or golf cart. Points for each? hahaha I've seen all of em.

I have seen enough unsuccessful attempts trying to get large rigs into a preferred site to make a new reality show. Some you can but most... well let's just say...get yourself a chair and some popcorn. As previous fiends have said the sites are generally smaller but also the road is tighter too. Some have a very tight turn to get in.

Gee, if I didn't know any better I'd say there are a bunch of people that like camping in here....except one old curmudgeon. :dogsnicker:

You can also check out a local RV place that rents campers. Try a pop up, see if that works for you. Then go from there. They're not really expensive to rent a pop up.
Many of the people that rent from us wanted to try it and see if they liked it. Most of them said they are hooked and want to buy one. Several have now bought their own and are now having other friends rent to try it.

We went to the Tampa show yesterday. Very few pop ups. If you don't buy at the show, buy on the last day of the month. The salesmen get hungry. Be careful of what looks like a terrific price as we noticed the pop ups did NOT have AC installed at their prices at the show.

Camping is something you would come to love. It is totally different than hotel stays. If you enjoy the outdoors it is an even better extension of it. You don't necessarily need to buy a new huge camper. Once you get into it, you will decide how important some things are to you. Some campers move up in size, some love the smaller ones. Of course buying used allows you to fit your budget too. Once you have one, you'll find yourself looking for excuses to get out and enjoy nature with an occasional trip to the Fort! It's a great way to leave the rest of the world behind. Good luck on whatever you decide!

It's pretty busy anyway now. Not sure the rides would be much shorter.
