Mo, Aaron pulled out Friday morning.

Gwen, you're kidding?
Marty is so sweet, I can't imagine anybody being upset with her.
And she wore that grin the entire time I was there. You should have seen her running towards the water parade. I only wish we as adults still had that same excitement. It was extraordinary. :jumpforjoy

We just had a moment soooo MPR that it cannot be shared but it had witnesses

while we're that close, I have started thinking it doesn't make sense NOT to pop over to France for two days (a half day travel and a day in the park) for Disney France. So the DVC could be used there as well? One of those three places. Point is: I see we'd have plenty opportunity to utilize our DVC if we went to Europe.

Here is how we'd use it for the first five years, and probably very similar for the rest of the term because it's how we travel.
Most of the time we stay in the campground. But there are times for special weekends (Halloween, Food/Wine, Flower/Garden, Star Wars) that we like to make a flying trip down on Thursday and check out on Sunday. Sometimes the camper wouldn't follow us. Sometimes we'd hop in the Yukon and take turns driving in one big day haul (14 hrs). Sometimes we'd fly.
So points for those weekends. Usually once a year.
We also want to take cruises. It looks like we are looking at two in the next five years. An Alaskan cruise and a Disney Bahama cruise. I was looking at another line for Alaska simply because it's cheaper but I do like the way Disney does plan for families. That appeals to me.
For the last four years we've been planning on taking our Saint Patrick's baby to her "home land" for her sweet 16th. I looked today and the DVC does list the Emerald Isle something or other and Stonehenge. That is one place in England I'd like to visit while we're there. So we can definitely use the points where we are likely to escape to overseas. A mediterranean cruise is on my bucket list and I know Disney cruises out of that area.
It mentioned some very major cities in the US. We're big Cirque du Soleil fans. Vegas is on our travel list every three or four years for a weekend to capture a new cirque show. (Save your money for Zarkana btw, bomb! but oh la la Beatles LOVE!)
So we'd really end up using some of our points only for one or two weekends per Disney year. But we could bank and borrow for cruises.
the question is: are the annual dues going to offset our savings?
I'm spending the next few days adding up what we'd conceivably spend for our next ten years. Add $1000 per year, and compare that to the DVC. Since we usually do plot our vacations 3-4 years in advance, it wouldn't be too hard. Every three years we spend one year the whole year, all 25 plus five personal days of vacation leave in the MK. That's the year we invest in an AP. There is a $150 savings per AP so that answers how we could justify that year's fees.

We are definitely in for 2015.

From Nicki:
LOL Thanks TJ. Too funny. I'm glad they brought mayhem for a few minutes after those photos were taken. I was there even when I wasn't. :rofl3:
-
I used the extra shipping and it seemed that all the tix we put in, you won with!
I won with! what?
I meant "donate" as in the mystery prize. Nicki tagged me on FB and I saw photos. Those were forgotten! I had forgotten I bought masks one year. LOL
-
Oh that was easy, I just had to keep picking out the exceptionally tall grumpy dwarf.
-
Congrats Lorna! I think everybody lusted after that one.
What did I donate btw? Lol
-
That guy kept following me around for five days. Couldn't get rid of him.

It must be. I spoke briefly to Mo and Nicki on the phone a little while ago and they were in the Margarita line at one of the parks.
*sniffs* I was there too. You didn't say hi to me.

Yes, you met Fig. He has a few more manners than his sister, Maggie. She's a slight bit shall we say hyper.
