I think they said they sleep something like 9 people. -
I agree with you on the offsite locations, but if I was going to do that I might as well stay home as I only live 15 minutes from Disney and the Fort. It just isn't the same, I actually do not like going to the Park when i am not staying there, I am sure a certain amount of therapy might help with that. ok, I don't have your "problem" with mileage

I am with Jim...looking for offsite places and will be visiting Fiends more often. (just not where I was last weekend)

Where to buy a flamingo/fiendmingo
AuburnJen replied to itch's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
that is some heavy plastic they use.... -
You can always do what I just did and stay off site and go and visit fiends at the Fort. You get what you pay for and it is a bit of a hassle, but if you are on a budget/or you like to go more often and can, it might just be an option. Thousand Trails has weekend packages as does several other DVC type places, even though they are "owned" resorts and they are close by.

They are not lying when they say they fade in sunlight either. Lorna and I saw several that were looking very tanish. It was sad really. Whoever heard of a tan flamingo? -

Isn't it funny how the world turns. -
I also want to thank my guardian angel today, because when we got home from the playground (picture below where my son found the ice cream truck RIGHT AWAY!), I found that one of my lug nuts on the jeep had wrenched off and another one was well on its way. The tire had almost come off down our street. I rode home 151 miles like that behind our RV. Something told me not to hook up the jeep to the RV today. I am glad I listened to my little voice and that this happened when we were down the street. I still don't know what caused the bolt and lug to wrench off, however, I know they have been

Ok, I found where I was...Orlando South... Here is a picture of my view from the east side... Notice the lovely scenery and lack of retention pond. I was so moved. And here is front of the retention pond... Here housed a generator that clanged and banged all night and all day long, except when the little repair man was fixing it. It then resumed its clanging and banging.

Standing water at the campsites
AuburnJen replied to Ghester's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
You should be ok, they are really bad right around the time you are leaving. Like Bob's boss, I am refusing to go during the May and June months again. My reservation for July 4th will not start until the 27th just because of those blood suckers. (yes, they suck your blood) I remember Angie smashing a bunch of them last year on the side of her camper and wiping blood off with the guts. My son and I still have white scars on our legs from those things from last year. The water has nothing to do with them. The horses do. They are attracted to MAMMALS! So, the 1900 loop is out, along with -
