  1. We were in 335 last year and loved it. 33' TT with 2 slides (one big street side - approx 14') and we still had room to park the Navigator in front and setup a 9x12 pen for the dogs in back... and squeeze in the golf cart. Only tricky part was positioning the big slide between the electric hookup and the fake "stump" - it fit exactly with about 2" to spare. Otherwise we'd have still fit further back in the site, we just wouldn't have had room for the dog pen. It's also just a few sites away from the entrance to the canal/dog walk. Super shady site... so much so that the dogs never woke up e
  2. We try and cover all our bases requesting a loop/site. We have it noted on our reservation, and then 4 days before check-in we fax a request. Somewhere we were told that the site assigner doesn't look at anything much further out than that, but I can't recall where. Also, when we put in our request we usually give them our reasons (usually dog related) and our top 3-4 picks. So far we're batting 100%. We don't always get our first pick, but we've always gotten one of our top 3. Keep in mind that WHEN you go (time of year and even day of check in) can have a huge effect on their ability to fil

  10. Well said Jen! Perfect example of this is DH. He works with the public all day - so as you may imagine he's NOT a big people person. But thanks to reading over my shoulder about the Fiends for a couple of years now (and much more so HERE) he's been gung ho to meet as many Fiends as he can when we're at the Fort. We finally got to meet several in November and now he can't wait to meet even more!! He bugs me daily to check the calendar to see who is going to be there when we are, and he's already planning to be a social butterfly this year as well - which ought to be a blast as we'll be ther
