We are at the fort now. We checked in yesterday and were issued KTTW cards along with our magic bands. I am pleased to report that despite being told otherwise by CM at check in that it wouldn't work that you can use the KTTW card to get regular fast passes along with fast pass+. We did have significant trouble checking in due to the magic band. Mine was having issues and it took over 30 minutes to check in and they still didn't get it right and they ended up issuing a new MB to me. Our payment method isn't link to our MB or our KTTW despite it saying on the card that it's valid for charging.

Rumor about Epcot Imagination Pavilion
geoffdaddy replied to mouseketab.....Carol's topic in Disney Rumors Board
Bump for an oldish topic. I have to say the whole Journey pavilion has been the biggest letdown to me as an adult Disney vacationer. When my family last visited it in 1986 it was without a doubt my favorite attraction bar none. In fact, I would almost say the experience to me was a transformative experience as an impressionable 10 year old boy. My wife and I went back for the first time for both of us since becoming adults (me since '86, her in the late 90's) in February of 2008. When we arrived on the Magical Express to Disney World I seriously started tearing up that trip, sad but true. So I -
Another observation: How many more people will book these FPs and then forget about them, and thereby depriving someone else of a FP option? I can easily see that happening since you can't "see" on the magic band like you can on a paper FP when your return time is, you must use a smartphone or write it down ahead of time.

Not too crazy about the new fast pass system either. We were able to leverage it pretty well with careful planning and would easily get >6 FP per visit. Now we're limited to three? Dumb. Oh, and when we booked our fast passes, we were not given the option to pick the times we want, but rather four different options for the 3 rides we selected. Dumb! I did hear that you could still ask for a regular KTTW even if you had a magic band as a "backup" that you can book additional FPs with the old way. That's what we'll be trying to do this time around (a CM actually told me that while making re

Well, I got scared and just booked the additional night by itself into a full hook up site. More expensive by $16 but thought it might be the safer option given the last minute time window. If I were to book the 20-28 that is only a day from the scheduled arrival date. If it were more than a couple days out I probably would have taken the advice but was a little nervous about cancelling/changing a reservation at the last minute. We'll have to move sites sure, but we're just moving a tent so we figured that wouldn't be that big a deal. To rehash, original reservation was for the 23rd-27th...

Hey guys... my wife and I are going to the Fort this Saturday on a <30 day scheduled trip (EDIT: we booked less than 30 days out, our dates are the 23-27th currently). We were able to book up all the days that we wanted fairly early on, and now plans have changed that allow us to stay an additional day if we can swing it. I have been checking back on a nearly daily basis for the additional night stay (27-28th) and so far nothing available in a partial hookup site. However, if you look for reservations from the 20-28, a tent site is available. What gives??!? Anyway, if we show up as plan

Campgrounds on I-75
geoffdaddy replied to mouseketab.....Carol's topic in Camping To and From the Fort
Bump for an old topic. Just got back from the Fort, and we stayed at Georgia Veterans State Park on the way down. A little off the interstate... about 9 miles or so near Cordele, GA. Clean and quiet, and cheap ($28) which was good since we pulled in around 11pm... quiet as a mouse and found a nice flat pull through site. Only water and electric here, we didn't unhook from the car, just plugged in the shore power and flopped the front bunk down and were there 'til we left around 7am. They've got a train that runs around the campground and a bunch of old war planes and tanks near the front of th
