We have a LOT more fun at Blizzard Beach than Fantasia Gardens....
Let's just say there are a LOT more opportunities for silly pictures :-)
I was laughing so hard I couldn't stand up anymore :-)
I didn't realize they were so small, I "borrowed" them from a friend's Flickr page

It works now too!!!

You know though every time I rationalize to myself that the money is not worth it and we stay elsewhere (either at a Disney resort, or offsite), I go visit the Fort and literally KICK myself the entire time for not just biting the bullet and stay at the Fort. I feel so lost when not staying there.

You can't make it "financially feasible". From what I understand, there is no "work camping" at the Fort. You stay as a regular guest and get the same discounts that any other guest is eligible for. There are CM discounts on reservations, but I'm pretty sure they are few and far between. I know there are a few people staying at the Fort and working there, but they have other financial means for their accommodations and are just working for the theme park perks and some miniscule discounts.

Looks like a fun time!!

I used to LOVE counted cross stitch. However, I think the last project I did was my youngest son's birthdate sampler (and he will be 24 in October)

Loop 100 - Preferred
Loop 200 - Preferred
Loop 300 - Preferred Pet
Loop 400 - Premium Pet
Loop 500 - Premium Pet
Loop 600 - Premium Pet
Loop 700 - Premium Pet

Loop 1600 - Full Hookup Pet
Loop 1700 - Full Hookup Pet
Loop 1800 - Full Hookup Pet
Loop 1900 - Full Hookup Pet
Loop 2000 - Partial
Tents are allowed on any level of site, partial, preferred, premium but the Preferred sites tend to have a smaller sand area and a larger driveway to accomodate RVs and campers. The Premium sites have NO SAND AREA AT ALL.
Supposedly, only popups, tiny campers, and tents are allowed on partial loops, but I have seen all sizes of rigs on the partial loops. A large rig would not be happy on a partial for very long due to driveway size and no sewer.

I believe it's in the Fort Wilderness FAQ, but I'll copy and move it over here also.

That's the other think, I rarely see the line either cause I usually ride Single Rider
-
Yeah, their Feb - April rates are NUTS. For some reason, I don't feel bad paying that around NY or Christmas, but early spring, no way Jose

My awnings stay up, but then mine (both my homemade one and the factory one) are a little different than most

Sometimes the Meadows Trading Posts has Pink Flamingos with Mouse Ears on them

Thanks for the heads up!!!

On our 1st trip in 04 to the fort my DD and I went to AK and when we were going to Tarzan Rocks we passed by a sign of EE and there wasn't much more than batter boards and dirt. We watched as they built it over the next 2 years. When we went in 06 they had a soft opening and we got to go on it. The girl told us it was the 1st day they were doing it and we were in the 3rd car of people going. Where is my pin that says I rode it first lol.
We went to the passholder even when it opened and have a couple of the event lanyards. I rarely ride it anymore. I have to admit, I'm getting a bit older. The backwards ride gives my tummy a bit of a problem, and with the broke Yeti, just not worth the headache and upset tummy.

Oh and any weekend after March 8th is good for me :-)
-
I'm probably going to go camping "just because" in late March for a weekend. I'm thinking Point Mallard Campground, Decatur, AL or Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville or even somewhere in South Central TN.
Anybody else wanna go?? I know Dave and family want to have a shakedown trip in the new camper.
What'dya say??
-
I managed to make it to Gulf Shores in January, had a BLAST. Hopefully, I can get back out somewhere in March :-)
-
Eh, Sounds Dangerous is always a great place for a nap :-)
Now, the Circle of Life Movie at Epcot, that's pretty useless!!
-
That should fix it.

:popo:I am sad, very sad :rofl2: We are coming home from the fort on May 15th (not sad about that) So we will more than likely not be able to swing it. Matt has to go back to work. sigh. When will everyone be there? If it is Fri-Mon. maybe we can take a day trip. That is if we can just show and introduce ourselves. If it works out we won't come empty handed.
Don't worry about coming emptyhanded. I do it all the time. I do go get my own coffee with my refill mug though and a cinammon roll from TE. I'm a little pissed I've got to shop for the 500. Lorna and Jen need to watch more nascar.
