  2. Very interesting coincidence - the big surprise of the day yesterday was to meet two other families who are close friends of ours and they had arranged for the vow renewal ceremony. The coincidence was that the chapel was directly across the street from the Abracadabra ice cream shop in Old Kissimmee! Anyhow, the ceremony was very nice, Nancy shed tears of joy, and we all headed out to dinner at O'Hana. Our chariot: Our friends at the chapel: At O'Hana!: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Ghost of KFK strikes again. One of our "bucket list" items was to take the boats from Disney's Hollywood Studios to the Boardwalk area to meet everyone. When we walked out of Toy Story Midway Mania, we hit a typical Orlando afternoon thunderstorm. Boats were out of service, so we hopped the bus to the Boardwalk area, arrived a few minutes late. Lou, Dave, Christy and the girls are very kind and welcoming - wish we had more time for the visit. Will have to hit one of the fiend gatherings sometime soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I will update more later, but I wanted to post that we were able to connect with Lou, Dave, Christy and the Statz girls at ESPN this evening. Great time and great people. Got my hug from Anna during the picture! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. We all shared three plates - everything was tasty, but the slow roasted pork was the winner by far. That salad sampler was surprisingly good. I think the servers notice those of us who are fanatics and study menus before going. We had our minds made up days ago! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. A Main Street Bakery Cinnamon roll would help with that. That is just cruel ;-). I did notice that Main Street did not have that distinctive sweet smell in the morning as I walked by . More of a burnt Starbucks coffee bean smell. Not that I'm hatin' on that hostile take over, but it should have been Dunkin Donuts or Tim Horton's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. After getting our fill on foods never tried before, we left to go to Blizzard Beach and cool off. We figured that it would be crowded, but it wasn't too bad. All our photos from that are on a waterproof camera, no way to upload those while on the trip but it was a blast. One of our favorite videos from an earlier trip was on Teamboat Springs, so we did a repeat of that and a slow cruise on the Lazy River. Then Nancy and I did the best thing you can do at this water park - reclined and stared at the back of our eyelids while Matt and Rachel did some slides and the wave pool. We needed rest
  11. After POTC we hit Sleepy Hollow for a waffle sandwich. I planned on getting the Nutella with fresh berries, but they were having a special with a cheese, tomato and prosciutto waffle sandwich. Matt got a waffle with strawberries. Unfortunately, they were so amazing they were gone before the camera came out. But fear not, we have more pood forn photos. 12. After BTM, we were strolled on over for Pirates and reminisced about the time we went for Mickeys Not so Scary Halloween Party dressed as pirates in 2006. During that party we were walking into Adventureland at midnight, all worn out and droopy. When out of nowhere Peter Pan jumped right in front of Rachel and shouted "Hello, do you like Pirates of the Caribbean? Want to ride with me and Captain Hook?" They got us around backstage, into the front of the line and onto our own boat with Peter and Captain Hook. Rachel, probably 8 at that time, kept leaning forward to smell Captain Hook. The
  13. The kids were on their way to Pirates of the Caribbean as we got through bag check. As we strolled through Main Street we got a text that Adventureland was not open and everyone headed to Buzz Lightyear - a walk on. Then off to Space Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight and our favorite - Haunted Mansion: From there we used our FP for Big Thunder Mountain. Our kids are three rows back in this selfie shot. 20. I think that captures the replies? We'll see - need to keep going because I still have packing to do and we are headed to the airport soon (the anticipation is building like crazy!) On to the next update. So, we spent the better part of the last two weeks figuring out what to pack, celebrating our anniversary with friends and family, and the kids have been working around getting their school work done and finals done ahead of time because we are leaving before school closes this year. Rachel, a freshman this year, has been pushing really hard to get good grades and arranged for her fina
  21. AAARRGGGHHHH! I forgot about the limit on the number of quotes you can capture in one reply! I think I had 18 multiquotes going with replies. 22. i was going to let Nancy know by picking her up at work and wisking her away to the airport with her bags packed and kids in the car already, and lucky for Nancy she has so many good friends that were helping me figure out how to do just that and have her bags packed with a little more than just a toothbrush and toothpaste. About two weeks ago as Rachel and I were getting ready for the day and Nancy was getting ready for work, my insightful daughter made it clear that I was going to have to give her some advanced warning. So Rachel wrapped up one of the boxed sets of Magic Bands for me to gi
  23. Less than 30 hours to go, and I thought I would start this trip report now so I can find it easier while on the trip. I hope to provide some updates live from the World during the next week. I would normally post to FB, but my wife works in a school system and their school year got extended unusually long this year due to bad weather. For those of us who like to plan trips to WDW, we all know that 180 days out is the absolute latest you can rationally do this, and I booked a trip long before that was a thought. Lucky for me, my wife’s boss is a really kind, understanding WDW fanatic like us
