  1. Looks like some great set ups - especially the Haunted Mansion themed arrangement. While looking at the shots of the Tab kitchen I was wondering whether the lift gate would work to shelter the cook on a rainy day? Is there a rubber gasket at the hinge point that would be similar to an SUV or van liftgate that would channel the water off to the side? I know your setup with the EZ-Ups would provide much better shelter anyway, but it looks like the designers put a lot of thought into the trailer and it would seem like they thought of rain also?
  2. Finally caught up! Thanks for taking the holiday break so I could jump in again before the grand finale. I know you were thinking of me at the time, because it is all about ME of course! Hope the parade at MK was a good show and that you got into the Candle Light Processional at EPCOT. On my bucket list to be at WDW around the holiday sometime again. Might have to be a solo trip now that Nancy works in a school system, but I'm OK with that!
  3. That food looks tasty! And your site - I really want to get back to the Fort and kick back sometime. Looks very comfortable!
  4. Looking forward to the next update. We've considered the Swan and Dolphin resorts in the past, because Nancy is eligible for the nurse discount. Never seemed to pull the trigger based on need to get the lower rates at the Pop Century while traveling with the kids. I hear a lot of good things about them and love the idea of how close they are to the Boardwalk and EPCOT area. Can't wait to see the photos and hear about the buffeteria - huge food loving fan here!
  5. Not exactly an early adopter, eh Dan? I'm way more than fashionably late! Is there such a thing as page 6 bragging rights? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. New wish list item - that Char Broil gadget will be mine some day! It has given me some ideas for a modification to a charcoal design we tried while camping in the woods with the scouts....
  7. Also looking forward to learning how you cook your turkey while camping. We know the rules say no open fires so that rules out one of the options....
  8. Great report so far - and the hammock rocks! I know it was too cold to really enjoy on a Thanksgiving trip, but have you ever tried sleeping in one? Best night sleep I've had in a long time.
  9. Pete Werner is founder of "another fan site" and owner of a travel agency. They were having a group cruise this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. I have a Generac i2000 generator that we purchased to use while dry camping. We used it only one season, maybe a little the second season. It stayed in our garage near the snowblower, and I would start it a few times during the winter to keep it from sitting dormant. However, I did not know to put an electric "load" on the generator at least once per month while it was running. Come May, while getting ready for the summer camp season, I fired it up and tested it with a load (power drill). It had been running fine, but as soon as I tried drawing electricity with the drill it stalled the
  13. I love it! Bottom of page 5 bragging rights. OK, maybe it's more like show up late and sit in the back of the class bragging rights, but I still made it! I was trying to keep up with the TR via the phone app, but it doesn't do the photos justice. Love the photos, and the pood forn selection has been great so far.
  14. Looking forward to it - I hear that Disneyland is very well themed for Christmas.
  15. I'm in - and I really like the photography. I was the photographer for our yearbook "last century" and realize the importance of a high quality lens. There is always a better one for a few hundred dollars more that I wanted to get. Luckily, I had a grandfather who helped fund my passion for photography and I still have those film cameras. I like your attention to details and the way you frame the subject. This is going to be a great TR. Sorry about the RV problems, but a bad day at WDW is still better than a decent day anywhere else!
  16. That is awesome - wish I was heading to Orlando today! Wood stove is cranking and the wind is howling outside right now. I need warmth! Looking forward to the photos.
  17. Happy 10,000 post! At the rate I am posting, I might get to 2,000 before I turn 100. Sorry to hear about the challenges at the airport, but looking forward to the race posts. And food pix maybe? It's all about the food.
  18. Fantastic shots - I have very vague, but fond memories of walking around Disneyland at night when I was around 7 or 8 years old. Happy times!
  19. Looking forward to trip reports from this years transition!
  20. Looking at the head in the middle photo I wonder if this is an owl? And the feet dragging low like that while in flight also make me think it might be an owl? Just guessing because I am not a serious birder, but I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express once! Marty - these photos and the trip report are great. I was so tempted to try and follow along yesterday, but did not want to try and view the photos on my phone. Took a while to get caught up but it was worth the wait to see them on the bigger screen. Really enjoying this. Sorry about the rain and the wet shoes, sore feet, but I bet it wa
  21. Looks like I'm late to another great TR but enjoying the posts. Those photos of Animal Kingdom are so inviting, wish I could get back there in cooler weather and enjoy the scenery without feeling like I was melting into the walkway.
  22. Incredible thread. When was it that they stopped allowing swimming in the lakes?
