  1. Maybe this one will survive at least 2 posts before being guessed. :rofl2:
  2. Very good! There are a number of test plates in one of the observation windows at the veterinary/research labs in Rafiki's Planet Watch. They have made this fun intentional Mickey in one of them.
  3. Indeed! I thought it was cool that one of the manatees is named Lou. I wonder if Lou knows...
  4. This one is not hard at all, but it amused me. Lou does not look nearly this big in person...
  5. Alien Encounter was before Stitch -- the most un-Disney ride ever. I enjoyed it, but it scared some people like crazy. It was definitely mean-spirited. Mission to Mars was before Alien Encounter. I'm not sure of the dates of the changes, but know that AE ran in the 90s. [Oops. Missed all of those other posts. Oh, well.]
  6. It only takes my sons asking me to get me to ride it. They enjoy it, so I enjoy it through them. I also like to just remember my joy of sitting in that same place during Mission to Mars in my youth. Man, I loved that ride.
  7. That is absolutely beautiful. I don't think I've seen it since I am sure I would have taken a picture of it! The style reminds me of Morocco though.
  8. It was indeed a good guess, but your second one was better. The barrel is in the Muppets pre-show area -- with a note that the herring is there to feed the penguins (the orchestra).
  9. The herring would be a very good thematic fit in Norway, but no. Wrong park. Right park! Now narrow it down...
  10. It could certainly fit in at the train station, but no such luck. The pallet is actually a good clue though, as you said.
  11. I just got back from WDW with a camera full of shots just for all of you! Here's the first...we'll start easy. I was inspired by the gooseberry barrel posted earlier.
  12. Ladies and Gentlemen, Fiends and Friends... DramaMama and Thrill Shakespeare proudly present... Devores in knickers!
  13. I've watched several huge coasters go in at Cedar Point in Ohio. Most of those took about a year or so. This one looks to have less work on the footers, but a lot more steel. A LOT more.
  14. Samuel Clemens' middle name was actually Langhorne -- probably the reason for the fort's name in the film and now on Tom Sawyer Island.
  15. I love the Tennessee state parks. Nice to see Montgomery Bell again in pictures!
  16. Back to the story: After finding my site number taped to the door of the office, I set out to find it. The tent/pop-up section was almost completely deserted -- not exactly a shock considering the time of year and the cold temperatures. Turns out there were only three families camping in that area -- including me. Of course with all of this room where do they have us? Packed into a row, of course. They also did not have the bath house open in our area (which I understand considering the small numbers) which meant a good walk to the bathrooms behind the office. It was amusing to walk pa
  17. I have to differ with some earlier posts. I find Jungle Cruise very different at night. The light only coming from the boat is part of it -- less of the surroundings are illuminated which gives everything a more eerie feel. Also, if you get the right skipper, some of the night-based jokes are extremely funny. My favorite was when our skipper made the elephant "teleport" from one side of the boat to the other by using the lights creatively. I have not seen Jingle Cruise yet. The video I watched (not sure if it was the one posted here) was underwhelming, but that was largely due to a very
