  1. Ha ha ha! We were one of those guests last year. It was our first time and we really enjoyed it. However, I had an 8 and 2 year-old. We'd do it again. I loved the cookies and hot chocolate and the performances. Our favorite areas was Captain Jack and Stitch. This year we are going to the Halloween party. We're excited about doing that. When are the dates usually released for the Halloween party?
  2. Sorry if this topic is somewhere else, I didn't see it. Has anyone attended the Tusker House breakfast at 8 am? If so, how much time did it take? I'm wondering if we'll be able to get some rides knocked out early after breakfast or if we should schedule for 10, that way we can get some rides in before the meal?
  3. At this point, I'm not sure what I read. I can't seem to find the blog I read previously. That's what I get for scouring lots of pages and not saving anything. What's the prepaid card?
  4. I read it in a blog recently. I'll try to find the source. I think Disneyland does food vouchers instead of meal plans and scuttlebutt was that F & W might try to use a similar system since the day can get expensive fast. The information was not thoroughly flushed out with what I read, that's why I asked if there was any truth to it.
  5. Sounds like a great time. I'll put this down for a future adults only trip! TL
  6. Hey Fort Fiends! Is there any truth to buying vouchers for the F & W festival ahead of time? If so, thoughts on that and where should I look for them?
  7. Thank you for the insight! In September, are hours longer, like 9am-7pm? Anyone been on Summit Plummet?
  8. Yummy! Thinking of doing the character lunch here for my son's 3rd birthday. Good idea or no?
  9. ^^^Ed & Mo, thank you both! I rearranged our schedule to avoid the weekend at Epcot. I think we'll be doing a Monday & Wednesday there. I'll check out those other posts. We are very excited!
  10. Hey ya! Glad to see a fellow Simpsonville-ian on here. We love the fort and our days off were to just enjoy it. I just saw an opportunity and wanted some opinions. I'm sure we can always call an audible and buy tickets at the water park if we feel we must go when we are there.

  12. Overwhelmed with last year's brochure of the F&W festival. Any recommendations how to tackle it? It's our first festival. However, we are comfortable with staying all dayin the parks. Our toddler sleeps well in his stroller. With the dates we can attend, it looks like we'll have a full-day there on Sat, Sept 20 & we'll park hop (from AK) on the 24th. We'll have an 8 & 3 yo with us.
  13. Along this topic, we are going back in September. Considering going to a water park on one of our few "off-days". Good idea? If so, which do you recommend? We do love water parks but worry about fatigue. Family: me & hubs, 8 yoa daughter, & 3 yoa son.
  14. Quick shout-out to Fort Fiends (and their awesome app)! We got the site we wanted--1619! It's perfect. Wave hello if you're passing through. Quick note to first timers: get a golf cart. This place is huge! Thank goodness for Kenney, as he's working on getting us one in a couple days. Oh and don't let your magic fad from first day adaptation. We had a few frustrating moments yesterday. However, if we figured it's the newness of the environment, the size of this place, and the amount of people, etc. Trails End was great last night. Headed to Epcot today! Thank you to all who helped us plan this
  15. That's a bummer. But that app is great! Glad you thought to use it.
  16. Sweet. Hopefully my previous work will pay-off. I will refax on Monday for extra emphasis.
  17. Ah, ok. Welp, I can try again on Monday. My husband told the person at the call center the spot/loop we wanted. No clue if that will help, either.
  18. Did you call ahead of time to make sure or just saw when you got there? If you called ahead of time, what number did you use? We called the Fort number today (our trip is 5 days away) and it went to a call center. We faxed our request about a month ago, along with the online check-in.
  19. What is the number to call and check the campsite? The one we found online went to a call center. We are now 5 days out from our trip.
  20. Ok, we will be there next week...yay! On our trip we'll have a few days unscheduled. We'd like to spend some time looking at all the Christmas decorations. What resorts are a definite "Do not miss" and what is the best way to get to them (i.e. transportation)? TIA
