Finally, as a treat for Becky's birthday, hand made candies.
-
Becky's Caramelized Banana Gateau.
-
My dessert, Tanzanian Chocolate Timbale with Orange Scented Milk Chocolate Gelato.
-
The dessert before the dessert, Roasted White Chocolate Gelato with Candied Fig. I think the fig is the only thing all night that I really did not care for.
-
Time for coffee, this is a Reverse Vacuum Coffee Maker, very neat to watch. I would love to have one of these for special occasions.
-
A half portion of the True Japanese Kobe Beef that we shared. Truly amazing, the beef is almost buttery and just melts in your mouth. This is one of the few places in the nation where you can get real Kobe beef.
-
My main course, Roaster Duck with Fennel and Leeks, "A l'Orange"
-
Becky's main course, Veal with Black Truffles and Sauce Perigord.
-
Becky switched one of her courses for one off the vegetarian menu, a mushroom medley, which she enjoyed immensely. I do not recall the actual name of this dish, but if you like mushrooms (I do not) this is the dish for you.
-
Palmetto Farms Quail with Asian Pears, Serrano Ham Jus.
-
We added the wine pairings with each course, well worth it, then were good pours and sometimes they even topped them off.
-
Colorado Bison with Black Radish Slaw and Kumquats.
-
Opening act, Amuse-Bouche.
-
Took Becky for the mean of a lifetime for her birthday at Victoria and Albert's. It was amazing, that is the only way I can really describe it. And, yes, I took photos of nearly all of the food.

No, we did not go for the Kitchen Sink, but did have a nice lunch:
And finally,
Fudge Mud Slide:It was all excellent.
-
It only comes well done, which is not Becky's preference, but she said it was still very good, though not the best she has had.

I know, pushing this back on topic, shame on me:
From 20 January:
The Lamb Shank:
Pork Two Ways:
And we had no view from the table, but got fireworks before the meal:

Finally, for now, amazing seats, thanks Jason!

An early morning boarding:

A nice look at the bridge to the swimming pool:

I did not take nearly enough photos at the fort, I'll have to do more next time. Here are a few:

Yeah, that pretty much describes it. Maybe way down the road we will go back and do it again, maybe at the chefs table, but so glad we did it once. It was Becky's first time to Disney, and in the two weeks we were there, this was the highlight of the trip for her.
