  1. I got a set of these reels a few years ago and they work very well.  I use them for my outdoor C9 bulbs, and I have a couple of bins that have holders to wrap lights around that I use for the Christmas tree lights.  I never have tangled cords, it is just about the only thing organized around here :P

One trick to using these things is when you are packing the lights back up, make sure you wrap the lights female end first, that way the following year you can easily plug them in to check them and then just roll them out.

  2. I finally got a chance to listen, and really enjoyed it.  I just downloaded it to my Android phone, had no issues, and no need to sign up for anything.

I would like to hear a continuation about where remnants of the railroad can still be found, but for me, knowing little about it, but being very interested in general amusement park history, I found it very interesting and informative.  I will certainly be doing some exploring of my own when I am there in January.

  3. In your climate I think I would just blow the lines out and pour some pink antifreeze down each drain to protect the traps.

That is what I do even here in Virginia. I have a very small system, so there is not much to it, and we camp year round, so it is nice to not have to drain anti freeze each time.

Like Carol, I have a disconnect switch on my battery, and even though it stays plugged ini shut down the battery so it does not over charge it. On long breaks and in winter I connect it to a maintainer.

  4. So much of this depends on the trailer itself, how heavy it is, what kind of shape it is in.  Generally, I like to tow at a speed of about 60 MPH.  I have had mine up to 75 with no problem.  I am towing a small camper, but not a pop-up, so it is going to be a little different.  MPG will drop, you are adding a lot of extra weight to your tow vehicle, that is always going to bring MPG down.  It really depends on the vehicle as to how much that drop will be.

I would try and get it out, at least for a night locally, so that you can see how everything is supposed to work and make sure it does all work.

  5. If I went multiple times a year I probably wouldn't get it every time but we aren't able to go more than once every two years so for us it's totally worth it. I love that I don't have to worry about catching every moment. When my kids met with characters I'd ask the photographer to get candid interaction shots, so worth it to enjoy watching and not having to see everything through my camera lens. And then the ride photos, I don't know about you but we ride certain rides over and over again and have fun doing lots of silly shots on the rides with memory maker we get all of those. Also we make sure to take advantage of the photographers, getting pictures of my family together is an extra that I can't put a price on. Yeah I think it's worth it.

Cool, just what I wanted to know, that and the expiration of it. You guys are awesome, that's why I came here.

And, I wouldn't know anything about those silly photos ;-)

  6. I've been looking at the Memory Maker option that you can buy. I have read through the Disney website, but it really doesn't have a lot of information, and I was wondering if anyone has gotten this and felt that it was worth the expense.

We are leaning toward it, as we like on ride photos, and it would be nice to get character photos together and not have to worry about someone that can't operate my camera. Photo downloads without prints works well also, as that is the only way we really share photos these days (though I am working on a wall of on ride photos at home). Last year we got a Six Flags thumb drive which you could then get on ride photos loaded onto, at any park, we visited three, for .99 each, and we loved it.

I think we are close to sold, but I wanted to hear others' experience with it. Does it expire at a certain point? I know the photos go away after 45 days, but if you return year after year, do you have to buy the package again, or are you able to always download photos for free?
