PrincessNana 15
Can you still hand out beads and candy at the 4th of July golf cart parade? I know they don't want you to throw anything but wasn't sure if they had cut out all parade treasures.
Retired and Happy (Ken) 101
We have thrown candy and small toys from the Christmas parade for years. i did not know they frowned on this practice. Where did you hear or read that? I know the crowd really likes it, even the adults.
Beckers 1,136
Halloween they were 1/2 assed trying to stop it and then gave up. We got a ton of stuff. Someone gave out skeleton sunglasses and my son still wears them. He loves them!!
PrincessNana 15
We always threw candy and beads at the 4th of July parade, but the last time we were there, they were discouraging it and asked us not to throw but we could hand it to the spectators. Sounds like they haven't really followed up on it. Thanks for the info.
Retired & Tired (Judy) 90
When we throw candy, beads and little Disney toys the crowds love it. Even the Judges (Christmas Eve Parade) wait for our throws to them. I doubt there is any left on the streets when the parade is over as all the kids run into the street to get anything they could not catch. We plan to throw again this Christmas. Already bagging the goodies (not the candy this early). :partythree:
Lou... 3,118
We have thrown candy and small toys from the Christmas parade for years. i did not know they frowned on this practice. What Ken doesn't say, and I for one do frown on it, is that he throws that and other stuff at me when I stop by.That's OK, Shawnee and I are friends.
Retired and Happy (Ken) 101
It's mostly other stuff. Emphasis on "at", not "to". But he stops by anyway. :rofl3:
