As many of you die hard Disney fans know, Hulk Hogan filmed a cheesy TV show (Which I liked) back in the early 90s called thunder in paradise. A lot of this show was filmed on the beach of the GF and other Disney locations. Reading an article today it was said that fort wilderness was one of many Disney locations used during filming. Does anyone remember this? I of course do not want to buy the DVDs just to see probably 2 minutes of fort footage but I am curious to see what and where they filmed. Has anyone heard of this?

The Thunder in Paradise pilot movie was filmed in and around the historic Don CeSar Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida during April 1993. When the series was picked up for a full season, the production company then moved to Disney-MGM Studios near Orlando, where the primary filming location became the Grand Floridian Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort. Other filming locations at Walt Disney World included Disney's Old Key West Resort, Fort Wilderness Campground, and EPCOT, used heavily due to the wide variety of futuristic and architectural styles available at that theme park. The destruction of the school featured in the two-part episode "Deadly Lessons" was an actual controlled demolition of a school building in Central Florida that the production company agreed to perform in exchange for filming rights. Stetson University in Deland, Florida was utilized for an episode.[2]

What is there not to like about this show? Explosions, automatic weapons, and girls in bikinis. It has all the ingredients for success. What happened?

Hmmmm... Lets see

. Hogan decided he could replace Danny Thomas and pull off Hogan knows best but in reality

. His son got reckless

. His daughter became a Brittany Spears wanna be

. His wife left him for a high schooler

And the best his friend filmed him making whoopie with his friends wife

I think there was a little more than thunder in paradise going on in the hulks ring. Who knows nowadays. Wouldn't doubt they bring back the show with Ryan Seacrest as the star. Doesn't he do everything now
